With a DS you should be able to get to 160 pounds if you work hard on the low carbs and keep up with your vitamins and protein. You are considered a LW if you have right around 100 pounds to lose. Welcome!

Thanks major mom, I am afraid of losing too much. Also can you give me a low down of vitamins before surgery. How long do you think I will get down to 160? Will it be better to order through Vita Lady

Well, I think Vitalady is the best way to go. You start with her basic DS plan and tweak according to your labs.  It took me 11 months to get to goal weight-- some don't take that long others take a little longer. The think to do before surgery is increase your protein shakes and have a really good set of labs drawn. Get a copy for yourself and let us take a look at them and give you some feedback. I'm the same height...started at 203, currently weigh 131. I SAILED past 160.

For someone our height, 145 is the top end of a normal BMI so ride the weight loss as far down as you can. Don't stop just because you get to your initial goal. Actually I would not have stopped til I got below 110 (Normal BMI is 108 to 145 for someone 5'4"). I DID see 121 for about 10 mins one day this spring, LOL.

Now, revisions do lose a little slower than "virgins"...mine was the DS to start with.

I always thought I was big boned too...turns out, it was all fat. I actually a medium bone frame. If you are measuring your wrist, it WILL lie to you...the elbow is far more accurate. And my elbow said I was a medium frame.
