I told myself that I wouldn't do this but here I am, doing it! On Tuesday I will be two weeks post op RNY. They did not weigh me the morning of surgery so my best guess is 206 - 209 for pre surgery weight. I am 195 today. Is this good? The scale hasn't moved in a few days. Any thoughts? The doc said he thought I might get down to 140 but I am really hoping for more. I'm only 5'2! TIA

I was 207 on surgery day and two weeks out lost about what you did. I was told it was normal as I was not at a real high weight. It has been now 3 months and 10 days and I am now 166. I always had days were the scale didn't move and was told it was normal. Fat cells must go through a complex metabolic process to be "burned" off and it takes a little while. It will eventually become water to urinate out or some will be exhaled out. This process is not instant so you are actually losing fat while the scale stays still. Give it time and document it so you can start to see the pattern. If you stall for 4 weeks, that's different. I have the same goal weight :)

First, you just shocked the hell out of your body with major surgery...not losing or even gaining some the first few weeks is normal. It will come off, just stay hydrated and get in your protein...and WALK>

You'll get there...you are not a failure. Give it a chance to work.

It's NOT magic, LOL.

Breathe..........ok, so at this point, if you follow your program and get in your protein and fluid, you can not fail.  How fast or slow you lose is dependent on your body.  Just do your part.  Then keep going.  You probably gained weight with surgery and the fluids, so you have lost more than you think.

Congrats on your surgery!!!!

Comparing is perfectly normal thing to do but it can be one of the worse things you can do!  Did you take your measurements?  Lots of weeks that's the only way I could tell I was still losing even though the scales weren't moving.
