Dont forget to destress!
Good topic. You picked a great way to destress.
I need to start going back to my yoga breathing class. Sometimes it seems so silly but that deep breathing really does help. It's been a really rough week for me. When I went back to work three months ago I didn't realize I was going to be working for an idiot, a crazy person, and a bully. (All one person, I might add!) I"ve been soooo miserable and scared to do what's right.
Yesterday was the last day before school lets out for winter break and I decided I hadn't come this far (therapy, health, weight, etc...) to go back to being a wimp. (Hating what I do, being afraid to speak, stomach pains, crying, etc..) So, I decided to speak up, defend the children she is harming with her ignorance, and stand p for what I knew was right.
I documented everything an sent it to my boss in an email, copied to her superiors, and noting that I was concerned about repercussions.
I may lose my job, but i have restored my dignity and self-worth. That is an amazing feeling----and great for destressing!
Happy Holidays to everyone,
Mrs. M.
Kudos to you!!!
Way to go Mrs M! Isnt it funny how shallow one's breath can get? When I first started yoga, my ribs would be sore just from practicing deep breathing.
I am so glad you stood up for the students, and for yourself. If you lose your job, you should find an attorney, because protecting our kids from idiots should be our first priority!
Glad you are able destress and hope you have an amazing holiday!
It's amazing just coming to MI I feel the stress seep out of my body. It's like I can't wait to get here and am happy when I am. Yes, even in this cold weather.
I can't wait until I can plant at my place. At my old house I had created flower gardens. I'd get home before anyone else and watering, dead heading and just enjoying my garden was my way to decompress. I loved it.
