Emotional Scars...

I was just reading  Eggface 2012 - The Blog Year in Review  the November post about scars...by the time I reached the end I too was in tears...my scars are not those chairs...but the chairs at the baseball stadium...the NASCAR track...the movie theatres...they all hurt so bad...sometimes I would be stuck in them for HOURS...I would have bruises for days afterwords....oh but yes...I had a good time...NOT...but my family I was with would NEVER hear me say anything...(well except my husband who I couldn't hide the bruises from)...

I can hardly wait till 1/14/13

We carry those type scars even after we lose all the weight. BUT being a normal size is a good revenge for them.

The 14th will get here...not soon enough right now as time will just CRAWL the next two weeks, but once you have surgery, you will suddenly look around and a year will have gone by...or two or three...

Thanks Liz...As much as I can hardly wait till 1/14/13 gets here...I know I don't want to rush anything.  I have spent a lot of my life already wishing time would hurry past.  I have decided I want to live everyday for the rest of my life...

That being said...We go to our first NASCAR race in May and I am so looking forward to NO BRUISES...yea...

the 14th will be here before you know it and you life will be forever changed.  Enjoy the journey.  We can't change the past, but we can learn from it and we now, and you will soon, have a tool to help us with the future.

Take care of those tears and pat yourself on the back for me. I can't reach out to give you a hug but wish you well with your surgery. Don't forget to create your ticker so we all can be with you on your journey on where you are in the process. 2013 will be your year!

My little grandson is being born by C-Section on the 14th so you will both be starting your NEW lives.  You will  both be taking baby steps at the beginning but then you will both start running and enjoying life to its fullest.

I never got bruises but the fear of not being able to buckle the seat belt when flying or on a ride at the amusement park still hasn't left me after 4 years but the great feeling of Success when I have a lot of extra room makes my heart beam with relief and pride.

I am so excited for you!

Roz

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

What will battle those scars, will be the realization and excitement of things you CAN now do while losing weight.  You will have so many NSV's along the way and will be amazed at your new life.

Congratulations!  My big NSV was being able to sit in the airplane seat and bend over and reach the stuff under the seat in front of me.  Couldn't do that before.
