Her name is Elizabeth Shipley-Moses, she works for Kaiser at the Falls Church Center. The surgeon(s) that they use are Surgical Associates at Virginia Hospital Center. According to my current nutritionist, once I'm referred to them Kaiser pays for all my followup care with their practice (including nutrition visits) for 6 months before reverting back to Kaiser for any periodic followup I need.
If you'd like to take a look at my program, the progression and list of options, send me a PM with an email addy and I'll send you a Word document our dietitian gives all new folks. She makes a few exceptions for DSrs in there but most is pretty much the same for the first couple weeks for all surgery types.
I love the idea of low sodium V8 juice in the early days. What a great way to keep your potassium up. You may have to dilute it with water at first and experiment with temperatures but it's a great option. Our dietitian once took a survey in our support group about who was able to drink tomato juice early out and were there any acidic related adverse effects. None in our group and many said the acid was easier on their new stomach than plain water.
Another trick: add a squirt of fresh lemon or lime juice to your water and sweeten to taste with Splenda or Tuvia. The little bit of acid seems to agree with the new stomach better.
