My Surgiversary

Tonya, I had been wondering how you were doing....I cannot believe it has been a year.

I recall you having some major health issues so it sounds like that has cleared up which is a relief (I hope this is true).

I went on my first cruise right around my one year and it was great.  I am going on another in 3 weeks.  I do not know if I dump so I guess I am doing one thing right.  So no chocolate towers for me on the cruise which is just fine.

I am still waiting to see if I have Multiple Sclerosis or had something called CIS, clinically isolated syndrome, a precursor to MS. I just had more tests done last week. If I have either of those I will probably start MS drugs soon. I have most of my strength back. I don't use a cane anymore, but likely will have to use a urinary catheter for the rest of my life. I feel blessed because I can work for now. I have started a Mary Kay business in the chance that I cannot work at the hospital in the future. I can sell lipstick from a wheelchair; I cannot do nuclear medicine from one! Besides I love my Mary Kay!!

Thanks for the update.  Really hoping the MS is ruled out.....you have a positive attitude!

I've been thinking about you Tonya....Thank you for updating!!!   Congrats on your 1 year Surgiversary!!!   I'm glad everything's working out for you and DH. We are going on a Disney Cruise in April and I definitely won't be wearing a bikini or a tankini because I have way to much loose skin....this is when I start wishing I had my WLS when I was younger!!

I hope the Drs. figure out what's wrong with you soon so you can start getting treatment for it.  It does sound like you have a positive attitude which should help you deal with it whatever the outcome.  My DD loves Mary Kay.  SIL has a standing order with DD's Mary Kay lady for every birthday and Christmas.
