Good Morning. Anybody else letting out a sigh of relief over the fiscal cliff mess?

My dad and I did get into it a couple of times during our visit down there. I knew we would. Anyway, I'm glad they (Congress) got something done, even if it isn't the final solution by any stretch of the imagination. So, the message for the day related to WLS?  DO SOMETHING, even if it isn't the final, be all to end all solution. Get started doing something towards your goals. Is it vitamins? Protein? Cutting carbs? Logging your menus and miles everyday? What will you do to get something done, even if it's only a start. Did you ever hear the analogy of the impossibility of trying to eat the whole elephant? How are you going to manage taking small bites of the elephant?

Happy New Year, y'all!

I do have to say I did let out a bit of a sigh, but am still dumbfounded how our elected officials could let this mess go for so long... then again, I'm not that surprised.  I do love your message of the day to do something.  It reminds me of that Nike slogan: JUST DO IT!  That's what I plan on doing today.  Even though I'm feeling drained, I plan on getting my exercise in after I get my daughter off to school.  In the end, something is better than nothing...

Yep, I really thought they would *****gain and kick the ball down the field, which they did in large part.  But they did do SOMETHING.

My something is that my shingles is finally at a point where I can get back to exercise.  I did Zumba and Muscle Pump Sun and Mon and am headed back to Muscle Pump today.  Very ready to get back to clean eating.  Ponies need work and I hope to get to one each day that it is above 40 and not raining.  All of that should help my stress level so I can make it through accreditation, now in 2 weeks, yikes.

While the solution is nothing to be happy about...they did do something.

We are back to watching carbs...and not just as they go IN our mouth, LOL. I'm wanting to join the Y but am ordered to rest this week...we may go out and check it out later this week tho.

Glad Congress did something, but I think this will be a multifaceted and hopefully a group effort between the parties to get more resolution.

As for my goals, its trying to keep that dreadful carb monster at bay. I do well with my vitamins and protein, but have been slacking in the exercise and carb control areas.

Got rid of the biggest offenders here at home, gave away the baked goods. Need to restock the fridge with some produce and make my meals to bring to work.

Fail to plan, plan to fail! I think I need to post this several places in my home to keep me focused!

Hmmm.. I didn't hear anything - guess I need to turn the TV on.

I'm fighting some sinus crud - as long as I take Zyrtec-D I'm ok - for awhile.

Having a new frig delivered today.  They wanted to drop it at the garage and move on - huh?  and ME get it in the house - I don't think so... so I got them to send someone to bring it in.  That hasn't happened yet, so we'll see how it goes.  Otherwise I'll have them take it back and I won't buy it from them.  I was a floor model from Home Depot - guess when you buy it from the warehouse they bring it in, but if its from the floor they don't - and I pay the same amount for delivery?  I don't think so...

Thx Liz - I have to catch it early and get a grip on it - or I get pretty sick.  I'm hoping I've caught it soon enough.
