You are doing GREAT.
I usually ONLY weigh myself on Sun but have a doctor's appt today so I weighed this morning to check the scale later. I weigh before I get dressed and then again in clothes to see how much that adds (varies as to season, LOL). I am down almost 2 lbs over yesterday so I bet it WAS the meds. :)

I'm kinda surprised I didn't lose more since I had all my teeth pulled last Wednesday and all I can eat is pureed things. I have been eating sugar free pudding, cottage cheese, ricotta with sugar free spaghetti sauce with lots of ground beef and mozzarella, chicken with mashed potatoes, broth, cream and cheese blended up to something like a cream of chicken soup, sugar free ice cream, oatmeal with protein powder and of course yogurt and protein shakes. I am so sick of blended food. I want to chew but judging by the amount of pain I am in it will probably be a while until I can eat anything solid. Any advice or suggestions are welcome.
I have needed to have this done for a long time but I finally got dental insurance with my new job so could finally get it done. I am praying this will be the answer to all the dental pain and even the head and neck pain I have had for nearly a year. I have spent a lot of money trying to fix my teeth but it just wasn't helping. Other then the significant pain from the extractions I haven't had any head or neck pain so maybe that was the cause.
The worse pain is putting in the teeth and taking them out. I cannot wear the lower dentures at all. The dentist said they will have to be remade since they made the mold when I still had teeth in. The uppers are tolerable, thank God, so at least I am not totally toothless. I have been able to work but I am glad I am off after tomorrow until next Saturday.
If any of you have been through this I need all the encouragement I can get. Tell me it gets better and I will not always be in pain. I wish I had the money for implants but that isn't going to happen so I pray I can get used to dentures and be able to eat somewhat normally again and not feel so uncomfortable.

Once you get dentures that fit properly it will help a LOT. I didn't have pain after 3 weeks even though my uppers are way too big. I use a healthy amount of poligrip to hold them in. I went back after the swelling went down to get them resized but the goop they put in them and then fit into my mouth burned the roof of my mouth so bad I couldn't leave them in long enough. So I pretty much glue them in for 3 days at a time. Ocaisionally they'll go in "wrong" and it will hurt the top of my mouth so I take them out and readjust them. I've had them for years now and rarely have any problems. Hang in there Tazz!
