Good Morning. Budgets and cutting them

Ok, I need some suggestions on how to do this WLS thing on about half the budget I had last year. Can anyone give me some ideas of how you stay happy and healthy with the demands of your particular WLS while watching every penny?

I'm guessing as you see the increase in taxes and the decrease in your available spending money, you'll be asking too.  Help!

Canning. I like to buy bulk meats and can them. They make life quick and easy when you need it to be. I have been out for a couple of months but will start my process over again. I love opening a jar of stew meat which is already cooked and melt in your mouth tender. I save money by buying a bigger quantity and save time.

I have done minimal canning of veggies. Can you explain how you can meat please.

It's easy, believe it or not. When I order stew meat i don't even have to cut it up. I brown it, pack it, add h2o to an inch below the top. Place a hot lid on a wiped clean jar and put my ring on it. Then I can it. Easy peasy! There is a site on the net that I'll find for you. I referred it to someone whom I personnaly know who never follows directions and she was able to do it too.

Here ya' go! You can also find video on YouTube of people doing it. My fried is the most ADD person I have ever met and she really is doing great with canning meat. It's how things used to be done all the time. I was raised up with doing our own and don't know how we would have survived without it. The meat is so darn tender you'll never want to go back cooking the other way.

I am just trolling on the post but I have to say I am going to try this!!!!! It is always a good thing to save money and time and making life a little easier is always helpful. Can I ask, where did you go to buy your canning supplies? are they expensive?
