If it is of any comfort (and remember I'm not trying to give medical advice to ignore symptoms), I had similar types of cramps but maybe not as bad as yours. My husband, who has paralysis, has cramps often during and after BMs and has to rest awhile afterwards. This may be normal for you but if it persists, of course, call your doctor again. I'm suspecting constipation as that is what my husband has just because of his situation and I had after surgery. Just something to think about.
Seems like some folks get diarriah and others get constpated. Our systems just handle things differently. I think either is pretty normal and either corrects on its on or with constipation, we start some form of help, stool softners, fiber suppliments etc. My DH, no WLS, has loose stools and takes metamucil to firm them up. I know that sounds weird but it works for him.
At 11 days, you are still healing. It will get better. Pay attention to what you are eating or drinking when it hurts. I know cold made my tummy hurt. Are you taking an acid reducer? When I stopped mine for about a week, my tummy was really burning and sore. It's fine now that I am back on them.

Hello.... I can remember these early days too...I didnt think I was going to survive but here I am almost 2 years post op...loving life once again!! I had lots of upset tummy troubles too! It all somehow straightened itself out. I took stool softners and metamucil and that helped. Hang in there things will get better!!
I am one month out, and still have a lot of cramping right before and after BMS. I will say that it took me a full 3 wks to feel better, and honestly I am still not back to normal....but much much better. Don't stress...it will get better. Just pay attention to which food and drinks make it better or worse if you can.
