Ok I have been reading a lot ,trying to see what to expect after my surgery. I have seen a lot of people talking about the boobs deflating. I have always had large perky boobs. I have always stayed between a 36d-38d. through weight loss and gain, pregnancies etc....they have always remained about the same. All of this being said is there hope that my boobs may not deflate?

There is hope. I went from a 42 DD to a 38 DD and still am that now at 3 years post op. I still have 50# to lose so they might get smaller,IDK.

Depends.  I had small hound ear boobs and they are just worse.  But there are folks who keep their boobs, just not me.

Thanks for the replies.  Hope I am one of the lucky ones who gets to keep my perky boobs :).

Prior to surgery I was exactly what you described too.

Post surgery - umm, no... my "girls" were the smallest they've EVER been, and very floppy.

Post surgery I was a 32D or DD - but it was ALL skin and had to be "folded" into the bra... (yes, literally folded - I had a crease)

I have a wonderful Plastic Surgeon too - he restored them to their previous glory!  LOL  I'm now a 34D orDD - and there is no extra skin... he even took care of the floppy part under my arms.

As it's been said, each person is different.  There's really not much you can do to keep them from deflating... just get some pretty Victoria Secrets bras and make them look their best!

Mine totally deflated...thankfully a bra works wonders. I look like I have deflated tube socks with a tennis ball in the bottom!

I went from a 44DD to a 32C with side boobs still, I have to have wide side panels to keep that under control. I can't STAND underwire, never have. My favorite bra is actually very soft but holds up well. It's a Bali bra. Holds me up well and is very comfortable. ALMOST like not even wearing one.

I kept mine, kinda.  I've gone from a 38DD to a 34D but they still stand up.  I can't take any  credit for this it's the genes.   My 68 year old mother's stand up. Don't know why but I'm happy about it.

That should have read 34C.  So no real shelf to speak of but still stand up to the pencil test.

Since I am 59 years old I am probably not comparable to you but I started with a very filled up 38DD and now wear a 34DD (Victoria Secret if that makes a difference).  I have lots of boobs but they are deflated. I still look good in a pretty bra.  During the last year they have improved some.

Trust me deflated boobs are just a small sacrifice to being thin and healthy.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!
