I posted this in menus and miles but I would appreciate if any one else could help.

, typing on my phone is a pain in the rear. This may be long , but I need some help. I was down to 142 now I'm back to 145. I have been doing this weight since the first of December...maybe even sooner I'd have to check. I was advised to up my calories. My protein has always been above 80 mostly in the 118's and my carbs below 50, mainly 30. This is what I am trying this week.

Monday: bacon bits, egg, slice, of cheese. L; 2 string cheese, 2 oz tuna ,tbs mayo. D:2.5 oz chicken. 2tbs bbq sauce. snacks 3 protein drinks 1 Pro max protein bar = 147 protein 50 carbs =1065 calories

Tuesday: bacon bits, egg, cheese. L 1/4 cup cottage cheese, 1string cheese, 2 oz tuna, 1 tbs mayo. D:3 oz chicken , 2 tbs bbq sauce. snacks protein drinks 3 and 1 pro max protein bar =130 protein 50 carbs 1030 calories

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are the same as Tuesday. except for supper im having elk burger or elk steak.

Wed=147 protein 50 carbs,1056 calories. Thursday =141 protein 50 carbs,1016 calories. Friday= 135 protein and 48 carbs,930 calories

what am I doing wrong? I'm sitting the same up and down. This is the first week ive had this many carbs, they are in the 50's because of the protein bar. Should I go back to 800-900 calories? I am told to eat 1200 by the doctor, but 1 I can't fit 1200 healthy calories in and keep my carbs low and 2 I think 1200 should be my maintenance number? I'm stuck.

Nikki, I know some people can not handle the protein bars...causes weight gain/gas/bloat.

Maybe switch from the protein bar to another protein shake or just some extra meat.

Nikki,

Since you have so little to lose (12lbs) you might want to go to the VSG forum.  I will tell you now they will tell you that you should be doing 600-800 calories, 60-80 carbs protein 60-80.  I don't necessarily agree with this because i think there is no way to go down from there if you hit a bump, but over there it is doctrine but since you have so little to lose I'm thinking you may have really good results with it and then you could go on maintenance.

The low calories may really help you at this time.  also when you go over there troll through the "Whatcha eatin'" thread.  It's a long daily thread and you may get some good ideas of what to swap your current meals out with.

Oh I too would ditch the protein bars until maintenance.

I'm in the last 10lbs myself and it is a *****  The scale has moved up and down the same 2-3lbs forever, so i hear you.. Also since you've lost so much of your excess weight in such a short time, you might just be in a balancing mode for a minute and the holidays probably added stuff that it may take a minute to adjust back to the pre-holiday loss.  Those are my thoughts.  Good luck.

It looks really good to me.  My key was protein over 100, usually around 140, carbs under 30net. Ditch the protein bar but otherwise, I don't know.  I would think you don't want to go much lower than 900-1000.  I might even try upping your calories for a day or two then coming back down to see if that helps.  folks do have 6 week stalls so that isn't unheard of.  I know you want those last pounds gone but in actuality, what are you going to change when you are there?  Really, you are going to continue eating pretty much like you are now for the rest of your life.  So just keep on keeping on.  That is the hard part.
