Good Morning. When your kids are down...
...you are down too. : ( Son#2 is still trying to move up to Pittsburg and he keeps getting one let down after another--either apartment or job, or both. {sigh} Anyway, I know he's down and discouraged and it breaks my heart.
So, today we're supposed to get winter back but I want to get outside to walk. Wish me luck and hope that I don't blow away in the wind gusts!
Y'all have a good one!

So much of our lives seems to be dependent on others, but it couldn't be any other way. I know my emotions have been jerked around with this staff family illness issue. But we don't live in a bubble and if we didn't respond to others needs and emotions, what kind of world would that be?
cold and SUNNY here and soggy ground from all the rain. Maybe a drive on the roads because everything else is too wet.

Sorry he's having issues getting sorted out. I know that it's hard to deal with and does hurt your heart as well.
However, some times life has a way of letting you know it wasn't meant to be. We've been wanting to buy a house since we moved here to Knoxville...every time we turned around there was a roadblock. Turns out, it just wasn't meant for us to put our roots down here but to move back closer to family. I told dh that if we had bought a house, we would be in the market to try and sell it now. All we have to do here is ride out the lease and then move.
The old adage, God may close doors but He opens windows...look for the window.

AWE Gina, I figured he probably found something by now.
My DD's actually have to say to me.."I'm not telling you this so you can solve it".. and sometimes I still try to solve....LOL It seems anymore that they turn to each other rather than me because I obsess over things.
Has he tried the Cranberry Twp. area (16066) ? This is the fastest growing area around Pittsburgh. A lot of industrial parks and Westinghouse. This is where the younger generation is making their mark. It has connections for the turnpike and it's also off 79 which which is a straight shot to Pittsburgh and Edinboro. It's about 15 minutes out of Pittsburgh and has lots of apartment buildings.
I might have mentioned this before but since DD and family moved out I have 2 empty bedrooms if he needs to crash somewhere when he has interviews or just checking things out. We are 45 minutes north of Pittsburgh and 30 minutes north of Cranberry Twp.

Roz, I totally missed that you live near Pittsburgh. Dh and I lived there for about 6 months in 1998 (we lived in Coraopolis near the airport). We always said that if we didn't have family down this area, that area would be top of our list to go back to and live. Dh was working at Beaver Valley Nuclear Power plant at the time.

We LOVED the area...but my husband's job kept us on the move...we moved from there to Missouri then to Michigan then to the coast of NC. NOW we can go where we want to but all our family is in the mtns of NC so that is where we will end up.

DH and I live within 5 months of the neighborhood we grew up in. I can't imagine ever moving.I love to travel but if DH can't fly he wants nothing to do with it. DD#2 lived in AZ, VA, and MD when her EX was in the service and that was the limits of our traveling until DD#3 started Coaching All-Star Cheerleading and we get to travel with them. Our family all lives within 7 minutes of each other now.

Oh yea - I hear ya. My son called me last night with his woes. I just try to listen and give him counter points of views, without telling him what to do. Sometimes it would be easier (we think) to just step in and take care of things, but they have to do it themselves.
Yea - cold today! My convertible top leaked last night with the rain and I didn't realize my seat was damp until I got out. Felt like I wet my pants, but luckily it didn't look like it!
