It's really helpful to see the losses.  I am 8 weeks out today and have lost 34 lbs.  I am happy with that loss and hope I'm on track.  That's 1/3 of the weight I want to lose so I think I'm doing ok.  Kathy

Hi all,

My highest BMI was 46.7 when I weighed 264.

I lost 45 lbs. pre-op.  My surgeon required at least a 10% loss pre-op to show motivation and that you had a plan to deal with weight gain post-op.

Surgery weight:  216.5 (BMI 38.2)

1st month: 195.8     -20.7

2nd month: 186.2      -9.6

3rd month: 179.4      -6.8

4th month: 170          -9.4

5th month:  164.4      -5.6

6th month: 160          -4.4

7th month: 154.8       -5.2

8th month: 154.4       -0.4

9th month: 150.6        -3.8

10th month: 149.2      -1.4

11th month: 150.2      +1.0

12th month: 152.6      +2.4

Pre-op and early on my exercise was walking.  I joined Curves around the end of my 6th month but didn't start going regularly until my 8th month.  I definitely find if I exercise regularly I feel better and more weight has come off.  I've started to gain a bit lately over the last couple of months but seriously think it might be muscle as I feel much stronger.  It's great to feel muscle under the remaining fat.
