3 wks post op DS lower left abdomen pain

I am hurting at about belly button line on my left side. It is NOT at an incision site. It hurts to bend, twist, sleep on my side, stretch, etc... The entire rest of my stomach is tender but doesn't HURT....

Any idea what this could be? Is it where I am "rehooked?"

So have you been exercising?  Does it hurt after you've been idle for a while and then stop hurting after you've been moving for a while.  I'm am three weeks out today and I was walking everyday until I got a horrible cold.  The day after my first mile walk, I thought I was going to scream when I got out of bed.  The pain was worse than anything I had felt before but once I got going, it disappeared.  Its stopped bothering me since I put a hold on my walking.  All I can conclude is its sore muscles.  They must tighten and stretch.  If you are really concerned, call your doctor.  Good luck and feel better!

I am experiencing what sounds like the exact same pain. I am 15 days po. My surgeon assured me at my 1 week follow-up that it will go away. If it doesn't, you bet we will be discussing it again at the next appt. in 2 weeks. He said this pain is "normal" and to take pain meds as needed until it recedes.
