Panni and/or Tummy Tuck for lightweight?
Hi, It's been a long time since I've been on OH. My first excuse is that our laptop broke and it is difficult for me to respond on my phone. However, we have a desk top computer in the spare room but I'm too lazy to go in the other room. Lame excuse, huh? I've been doing well and maintaining my weight. I will be 18 months post RNY next month. I have an appointment on February 22 for a referral to a plastic surgeon. Kaiser makes you wait 18 months post op before seeing the PS.
Has anyone here had a panni and/or tt? If so, would you please share your information and feelings about the results?
I will be 59 years old next week and feel selfish for wanting this procedure done. It's not like I want to wear a bikini. I just would like to wear my panties without my belly hanging below my pantie line UGH! I have been taking pictures of my rash with my phone for six months and have rx from doctor etc. I've been on the Plastic Surgery forum looking for lightweights that have had these procedures to no avail. Hope you have time to respond.

Hi Elizabeth and welcome back!
Yes, I had a TT when I was 16 months post op.
No - you're not being selfish. I was 51 when I had mine... and I'm so glad I did. I got tired of holding it all together with spanx too. While I also said that I wouldn't be wearing a bikini - guess what I bought this past year? Yep - a bikini! Never say never - lol.
You need to find yourself a good PS that has experience with people who have lost a lot of weight. I'm not familiar with Kaiser or how they work regarding this, so be sure when you get your referral you ask about that.
I'm not sure what other kind of information you're looking for - but feel free to contact me and ask away!

Monday is my birthday, I decided to make an appointment with a well known plastic surgeon that specializes in plastic surgery after WLS (not with Kaiser). It's a free consult so I thought I would treat myself and check it out. Thank you all for your positive input.
