First Day Back....mediocre results
So per my posting yesterday, I am getting back on the horse after a loooooooong break. Rather than go too fast, I'm easing myself into the GBP protein/carb mix. I tried really hard today to eat normal foods, but the results speak for themselves. I'm going to have to get back on supplements. Many of the protein enriched foods I like come with very high carbs (which I ignored before).
Breakfast: Protein oatmeal, banana
Lunch: Turkey and cheese roll-ups
Dinner: Turkey and cheese roll-ups (fresh turkey is my fave ), and 1 cup of strawberries
Snacks: apple, sugar free pudding, string cheese
Results:109g carbs, 52g protein, 824 calories
You know? Now that I type it, it's not so bad for my first day.
Looks good to me. Maybe add a protein shake to up that number.
All things I would eat (other than oatmeal, dont like the texture)
I don't follow the low carb thing some like or I cant go potty lol

I dont eat bread or potatoes or I am full to fast without enough protein. Cereal is something I like, but I will mix some unflavored unjury PP in with the milk to make it better for me. My favorite cereal that I have for dinner sometimes :) is Honey bunches of oats Just Bunches. I have the milk, PP, lots of blueberries and little of the HBO granola YUM. I don't count how many carbs I have a day. I eat fruit every day and have crackers/pretzels etc with my protein in small amounts occasionally. PS Reading about your turkey roll ups made me hungry. I just rolled up deli turkey, light cream cheese and dill pickle. :) lol

Hi Mandy,
I agree I need more protein. I'll probably have a shake tonight to up it. My fiber is 15g which I think is pretty good. Myfitnesspal recommends 14g daily, unless I'm reading it wrong. The protein oatmeal is the weight mgmt one from Quaker Oats. It just has a few more grams of protein than normal. I've also eaten protein waffles from Eggo's. I don't think I'll be able to keep either of them though, especially if I want to get my carbs down.
