I feel for you and really appreciate your honesty in trying to deal with re-gain.  I felt like I had to fight for every pound that came off and have experienced a small bounce up.  I have no major words of wisdom except to stay protein focused and low carb.  I still havent tested sugar or bread and this helps me a lot.  Activity is important and I struggle with emotional eating....several books have helped including 50 Ways to Soothe without Food.  Try to not be too hard on yourself...where would you be without surgery....not 25 pounds up from your low BUT 25+ from your highest weight.  Beating ourselves up is not helpful and you are not alone.  Hope others have some good pointers.   I wish more who struggled stayed on the boards instead of isolating.

Blessings,

Jennifer

Oh yes...I've bounced back up 10 lbs (and I'm being nice here)... What am I doing?  I'm trying to listen to my pouch.  Eat ONLY when I'm hungry.  Get fluids in.  Stop relying on the clock to eat.  When I did that the last time I dropped weight.

Focus on protein - yes, even at our stage.  Then veggies.  Get away from carbs...   But - listening to my hunger is really the biggest factor in losing.  We tend to go back to "old ways" and eat with others and by the clock.  Listen to your body.  Think "is this real hunger - or head hunger"

It takes time, but you can relearn what REAL hunger feels like.  Keep yourself busy. Stop focusing on the social aspect of eating.

Easier said than done...

Good luck - and I'm glad you're back!

bounce back is real and it is much harder to lose it when we are small already than it was the first time.  I am doing low carb, high protein for the most part and have at least stopped the up process but would like to lose another couple of pounds.  Yep, there are several of us in the same boat.  Welcome aboard.  Post on miles and menus and join in the Sunday weigh in.

Thanks Price. I'm also doing low carb and high protein. What is your calorie, carb, and protein target each day?

i'm bad and haven't been tracking lately but I know my protein count is over 100- usually around 140.  Carbs, 50ish and I have many days where it is 30 or less net carbs.  I still don't count calories.  Last night I had chicken and brown rice because I was taking a dish to a sick friend and didn't want to cook 2x.  Scale was up this morning.  I eat basically no bread, rice, a potatoe maybe every other week, maybe fruit once a week.  Otherwise it is protein and low starch veggies.
