Good Morning. Hitting the Road

I'll be on the road for business the next few days and I'm trying to plan and pack my low carb, high protein munchies and essentials.  You guys that travel all the time for this and that have my utmost respect.

I should have internet access...if I remember my passwords, I'll check-in in the mornings and evenings.  : )

Y'all be good!

there are certainly times travel is easier than others.  It makes a difference what kind of accomadations you have.  If you have a mirowave and frig, that helps.  If your hotel severs breakfast which some protein options, that helps.  donuts just don't get it.  And if you are traveling with work friends and going out at night, that can be hard.  Do your best, which will be pretty darn good I imagine, then come home and get back on routine.  Have a good trip,.

Very wet here this morning but the rain is over.  Hope I will be able to drive later.  No meetings, hurray.

Travel is hard. We don't do much, mostly to visit family. When we head to my daddy's, while we get plenty of protein options, fat is VERY hard to come by as he lives in a retirement home and they are all focused on LOW fat.

Going to my mother in law's is a bit different...she's got the "diabetic" diet brain since dh's oldest is a type 1 and followed the American Diabetes recommendations which is heavy carb for a diabetic. AND low fat.

We both end up constipated by the time we get home...not fun.

Have a safe trip...good luck.

We had buckets of rain coming down yesterday afternoon...but got some more work done in the upstairs bath. Added two more braces to support under the shower pan area. It had one but it was just in there, NOT screwed into the joists.

Traveling gets easier the more you do it.  We will miss you if you can't post so be safe and hurry back!

When we travel I take a lot of Protein for my shakes....water and ice are plentiful and usually free no matter where you go and I pack a lot of jerky.  At the airport or  rest stops I grab cheese, nuts, and sometimes a piece of fruit.  I try really hard to hold off temptation as long as I can.
