Wow, has it been 6 months already? It doesn't seem that long. I have had so many wonderful experiences since I began this journey. There have also been many of you who have offered your encouragement and advise along the way, thank you so much. It would be impossible to list all the great NSV's & SV's, so here are some highlights. I hope they will encourage some of you as well.

My wedding ring fit once again, but is now to big.

I am wearing a size 8 in dress pants and a 10 in jeans, down from a high 20.

New ice skates, my feet shrunk out of my old ones, but I needed new ones anyway since I started adult skating classes.

Ballroom dance lessons with DH.

It is easier to ski, balance is better now that I don't have as much fat to coordinate.

Crossing my legs to tie my shoes or skates, and also being able to bend over to tie them on the floor.

Southern California meet-ups

I fit better in airline seats, and floor seats for Stars on Ice (skating show).

The fun of closet purging.

And the list could just go on and on, but my lunch break is almost over. So, what are some of your favorite NSV's or SV's?

Congrats on your 6 months - you're doing fabulous!

The NSV's just keep coming, especially at the stage you're at.  It's amazing how we are in awe of the things others take for granted we could never do - and when we can - WOW!!

Mine was bending over to get my bag out from under the seat in front of me in an airplane without dying.  Crossing my legs, clothes!  I still love I can squeeze through areas i couldn't before....

Have fun with it!

Oh my what a list!!! Good for you!!!

For me it was sitting in a movie seat, airline seat, etc. The other is remembering to look at old pictures. I'm back on the horse after a too long break. When I get down about what I've gained back, I look at old pictures, and am reminded that I've come soooo far!

Keep up the good work.

Lauren

those first 6 months really are a blast.  It slows down but it is still pretty amazing.

For me, having my life back.  Yeah, the airplane seat, new clothes all that was fun but being able to do all the things I wanted to do is the big thing.

Wonderful NSVs, I am the day before you for surgery date, so I know exactly what you mean!

I think one of my best NSVs is being able to shave my legs without it seeming like a workout  lol

tying my shoes without holding my breath is way up on the list also.

Being able to buy cute clothes, not just what will fit.

Wearing dress shoes again, small heels, not great grandma shoes.

Congratulations!

Happy Surgiversary!!!!!!!  Those are some Awesome WOWs and many more to come!!!

I've had so many WOWs and Victories but the only one that really brought me to tears and I'll never forget it because I got to share it with so many people I love was:

I was at my DD's gym (she Coaches 13 All-Star Cheer teams) watching one of her teams perform and I sat down on the mat Indian style and I started to cry.  The girls of course got a little worked up because I was crying and they didn't know why and when I explained they all started cheering for me.  They had all seen the transformation I went through and they were as excited for me as I was.

Roz

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!
