labs - 1 year ?
I have a few abnormal lab results, of course the Surgeons office said they were all fine. Just wanted to run the ones that were out of range by my OH friends :)
ALT/SGPT 39 U/L high
I don't even know what this one is, duh
B12 is listed as high at 713, but I think I remember Poet Kelly saying it should be above 550
Transferrin reads low at 177 mg/dl
Iron binding reads low at 201 ug/dl
Iron is 44 ug/dl
I just had a hysterectomy two weeks ago, so this should help my iron I hope
Thanks!

NOTHING is wrong with your B12...in fact, raising it isn't a bad idea. Low B12 causes permanent neurological damage! High levels are really not critical: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003705.htm as it's a water soluble vitamin.
Mine is above 2000 and no doctor has told me to back off. Not sure what the actual reading is as the labs stop measuring at 2000. And I do not supplement mine. Mine has always run high.
Actually, a 550 is the LOW range for a WLS patient. I would aim for 800-1000 minimum.

ALT is a liver enzyme and can run a little during the weight loss phase but may stay a little elevated. No worries.
I agree with Liz on the B12, make that number go up to 1000+ if you can.
Iron markers a little saggy. Do you have ferritin, hemoglobin and hematocrit? What are they reading? I still need to supplement iron with Vitalady's Tender carbonyl and Proferrin, even post hysterectomy.
