Hi!!! Noob to this section, so will tell you about me. I'm married with 3 kids two at home one old enough to finally move out. I had my sleeve 6 weeks ago. In 2006 I weighed 325 pounds I lost weight and in 2014 was down to 185. After a baby,a gallbladder removed and then a hysterectomy I began gaining. No matter what I ate, how much I worked out and all the tests from the doc I gained. So I decided it's time. My first dr visit in September I weighed 243. Surgery day 227. Today 204 :)
i am on real foods, I do balanced macros and am averaging about a pound loss every 2-3 days which is good with me.
Now on my menu today:
B- 1/4c egg beaters a turkey sausage
S- light n fit Greek yogurt
L- 1/2c progresso split pea soup
S- 1 slice chocolate/mint SF protein mug cake (yum)
D- will be pulled pork from crock pot and some green beans.
:) Glad I found this forum!!!!!

Welcome to our LW Board!!!!
We are a Friendly Group of Posters and we don't care who posts!!!! Typically it's someone who has around 100 pounds to loose. Usually when you don't have 100's of pounds to loose the other sites aren't as welcoming to those of us who don't have a lot to loose.

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Long time NO SEE!!! That's a pun....LOL. I am still recovering from a terrible case of Pink Eye. It's been going around the Grandson's and I should have known better to wash my hands after cleaning the youngest ones eyes out when my DD was away over the weekend. First time I've ever experienced it and I NEVER want it again!! My face was swollen from the eye down to the bottom of my cheek and the gritty sandpaper feeling was awful. I was a VERY whiny person. To make it even worse my DH's Surprise 65th Birthday/Retirement Party that I've been planning for months was Friday evening with over 60 people coming. My DD's had to set everything up and I added extra makeup and tried not to touch anything.

its not staff I'm worried about, its extended family - ESP the in-laws.
But really, we aren't telling anyone. I've made the decision, and my husband and I are both good with it. Just really curious how everyone has dealt with all the questions.

I have never regretted a single decision to keep things private. People love to gossip... put their leaders down of course there's a lot of jealousy especially if you have a " position "
is there single legitimate reason you'd tell your staff ?!
You can get all the support U need on here !
Thanks. I think I'm still in shock that I actually did it. :) I'm excited to continue to move forward! How do you get a little ticker on the bottom of your page?
I think, for the first 2-3 weeks, the only thing that settled well for me was ice cold water. I did my best to get in what they asked, but I came up short quite a few times. I think it's not anything to worry about as long as you're progressing daily or weekly. Just do your best, rest-sip-walk, and you'll get through it.
Congrats on your surgery!

For me, pretty much everything caused that cramping/gurgling for the first bit. By 1 week post op the protein was going down easier. It should get a bit easier everyday (with the occasional set back). I still have gurgling with some of my solid foods at almost 7 weeks out!
