Topic: BCBS Federal Insurance - Did you barely make the BMI requirement because you are a lightweight?

Was wondering if anyone out there has BCBS Federal and did you barely make the BMI requirements because you are a lightweight? My BMI was 38 and I have co-morbidities Type II Diabetes, HBP, Sleep Apnea. I have to meet with the Nutritionist for 90 days. My last first appointment with the Nutritionist was July 13, the next will be August 14, September 14, October 16.

I hope that I don't go below my BMI 35 or I will not qualify. Has this happened to anyone out there?

My doctor said BCBS Federal looks at your BMI from your initial visit to the doctor only.

Thanks for sharing.

How about garlic salt? I use hickory smoke salt rather than a BBQ spice.

Thanks for the recipe! I don't have a jelly pan but I'll think of something. Bacon and Shrimp are 2 of my favorite foods.....YUM!

Do you think they would be any good without the BQ on them? BQ and my bladder don't get along. I suppose I could put very light BQ on a few of them just to see.

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

If you hit the 100 pound loss mark you need to get a Gold Apple for your signature. Boy I regret not losing a few more pounds.

This is just my opinion....Unless you are in the normal BMI range and losing has completely stopped I would not rush into Maintenance. I was over 2 years out before I started Maintenance and I still regret starting it too soon. Sometimes we get a number in our head that sounds good and we start maintenance too early. If you have a goal weight that you want to live the rest of your life at then you need to go lower because bounce back is real!

Sounds Good!

Congrats on getting rid of 11 pounds!!!!! You are so right about working your tool!!! At 8+ years out I still have full and to much sugar signs.

Adding in another Protein drink might help you get rid of those 12 pounds faster.

Sounds Great!!
