119.2 - seems like the Cape Cod scale and the one here in Florida are more or less in synch.
Uneventful trip back yesterday and it is so nice to be warm again. Really nice! Having the airport here 10 minutes away makes it all so easy. We were home by 3:30 and did a somewhat shortened Justice walk at 4:30. Even though it was easy, DH and I felt tired. Maybe because we did get up earlier than usual yesterday.
I realized when we got here that this feels like home now. I used to call my former Cape Cod place my home and this was my winter place, but now it is home.
This morning DH plays golf. I have water aerobics, a Justice walk, laundry, food shopping, and I don't know what. Tonight we are meeting old friends of DH for dinner. DH did his weekly weigh-in and lost another 2.6 pounds. It is getting noticeable in his face - one of his golf friends up north commented on it.
That's all the news from down south. Have a warming Wednesday!

204.9 - essentially same as yesterday. Today should be shot day, but I'm going to go back to my regular Thursday schedule and wait until tomorrow.
After taxes were done, filed, and checks were mailed I went to work out. I think it was needed. It was a good one and helped soothe the sting of writing an almost 10K check to the Feds. (I had capital gains tax to pay... I was expecting to pay about 5K, not the 10K required!) I also had a "GULP" moment when I checked my balance on one account that I refused to look at since the market has tanked. I am down in that one account 20K since January. YIKES! Having to take money out of that account to pay my taxes really, really stung. I'm pretty sure that skin removal or any PS will wait now until 2026. Boooooo..... But I could be wrong.
Diamond D, we now have free breakfast and lunch for all students in CA. I agree with Liz that its a much better thing to have all kids on an even playing field for school nutrition.
One of the most wonderful things about staying home and taking care of taxes yesterday was all the periphery organization that I did in my office. Actually doing the taxes doesn't take more than about 90 minutes. It's the organizing all the paperwork and making sure I have all my ducks in a row that takes me the longest. So, I spent a lot of time going through extras since I had the time. I found stuff I had been hanging onto for over 20 years in one file (e.g., records of improvements on the former house that were no longer needed)! Of course, I got a little distracted and worked on some dog files and current home files that were not tax related, too.... But YAY me.... I"m glad I did those things. Tonight I will be shredding pay stub records that are well beyond being needed now!
I wish my RV/Motorhome would sell.... Would be so nice to have that off my plate. That's really the only albatross around my financial neck...
Winning, wistful, whacky, whatever Wednesday to all!
Capital gains taxes are painful! Funny, but I morphed my way back to my original shot schedule too after being off it following our BVI vacation. Just easier to remember for me (and I had picked convenient days).

125.9 today.
It's funny how muscle memory works! I pulled out the old Jane Fonda step video today and even though I probably have not done it for 5 years, I pretty much remembered all the steps! The quality of my dubbed from VHS to DVD workout is so poor but I love the workout! Several years ago I checked into ordering a new DVD, but they didn't even make that one on DVD, just VHS! I did it on the lowest level of step and it wasn't too difficult, I'll probably increase the step to the next level next time I do it! Funny to think I have had that exercise tape for over 30 years!
Nothing much else on my agenda today except to plug away at the Etsy site SEO. I think I will make potstickers for dinner. Easy to make and still easy to chew for DH after his tooth extraction.
Yay for DH's continued success with his weight loss journey Liz! And yay for being "home". Our house right now feels like home to me, even more than the one I raised my kids in for 15 or so years. Hoping a FL residence will feel like home too!
I had a Jane Fonda exercise tape too but I feel like that was 40 years ago LOL.
I just found these DVDs on Amazon:

Greetings all
Cloudy today but dry. And not cold. I finally got back to the gym after eye thing and it was fine. The usual suspects were there. After that it was studio time and I started new projects since everything else is somewhere in the firing process. All good But before the gym DH and I spent time fixing some service plan electronic thing on the electric car. I don't quite understand what the big deal is but whatever. DH is in charge of electronics. The car is essentially a computer on a skate board.
So Miss Poppy and her siblings are four years old today! Seems so recent that they were born. All are doing well.
And our great niece is doing well too, having gained a whole pound since her birth 20 days ago. Yay team (I am tempted to think that it is family genetics that enables fast weight gain but I know it is good parenting).
Congrats to all who have their taxes done. Yikes on capital gains Peps. But it must mean you sold before the current slump. And yay for cleaning out desk stuff. Amazing what one can find. You will know you are old when you find stuff you forgot you owned. Hope the motor home sells soon.
Liz isn't it amazing how weight loss shows in the face first. Maybe it is because we have less fat there. And also amazing where some of us tend to put it and how that changes over time
We are still watching Dexter but getting near the end. Maybe next is The Residence as per CC recommendation.
Got some new readers delivered today. Pink, aqua and lavender. I am beginning to understand why people have multiple pair all over the house.
hmmm might be a nap coming on.
Cheers all
Diane S
LOL - I have readers everywhere.
Did you like Dexter all the way through? I liked the early seasons but I stopped watching at some point because I just didn't like it anymore.
