124.4 on Moms scale. Couch sleeping sucks. She is doing pretty well but continues to need reminders about post op restrictions.

I worked on putting together some photo cards while she napped today. At least I got something productive done. She wants me to pick up some dilly bars at DQ with a gift card she has. Guess my dinner will be from DQ tonight! Not complaining!

Im hoping to head home tomorrow afternoon. I ordered her bath wipes and hair washing caps so she can get cleaned up (can't take a shower with foot bandage on). I hope they get delivered early so I can help her with it before heading home. I could delay my departure until Friday morning if I have to but I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed!

Another beautiful day in Aruba for Liz! Enjoy!

She was already getting home health so I called them today to see if they could help her bathe. They will assess her needs tomorrow.

Greetings all

More sun and wind. Ok with me. I did my walking and really had to force myself as I was feeling tired today. No particular reason but I got through it. My new favorite song helps.

Love your travel reports Liz. Indeed try all the nearby resorts. It is your duty as a tourist.

So after walking I went to the studio and made some new stuff. Then off to the eye place for new glasses. Finally normal glasses after three months of limping along with readers and such. Gotta say the new ones are kind of weird but I think they will work. I had gotten out of the habit of using progressives and must re- learn.. Stopped at the hippie grocery after that for a few things.

Paula glad your mom is doing ok. Yay for dilly bars! And for DQ food in general. I do not envy you couch sleeping though.

CC who knew how hazardous a big dog could be? Hope your injuries are minimal and heal fast. No fun. My dogs would have probably killed me by now except they are small. By all means take an advil. Sending good wishes for your dad's prognosis.

Peps that pound will depart when it is good and ready. But it will happen and I predict soon. Meanwhile, European desserts await.

I had progressives at one point - I do remember that they took some adjusting to.

Liz I like your idea of searching for the best happy hour. I will live vicariously through your quest.

Peps maybe that last pound wants to go to Europe and then stay there? I'm reconsidering my patronage of Chik Fil A. For a long time we didn't eat there because of the owner's support of anti equality organizations. But over time the controversy faded, and it wasn't until I read your post that I remembered.

CC hoping for good news for your Dad. It's tough always living with these episodes of uncertainty. Cancer is a thief in so many ways, and peace of mind is one of the things it steals.

Paula, remember when you could sleep anywhere? One hot summer in the city my roommates and I would sleep on the living room floor because we could open the door to the fire escape , put a fan in front of it , and sleep a little cooler. I would not want to sleep on a couch either.

Diane good for you getting your walking in, even when you are tired and didn't want to. I must follow your example.

Another day with some drama, some laughs, a few paperwork things knocked back. Tomorrow is paperwork all day, but at least paperwork at home, which is more comfy, and probably more productive. I wonder when I should "call in sick". Probably a few more hours, and it will be an email rather than a call.

I'm living in the Emerald City here. The rain makes everything so very lush and green. Its a bountiful season.

Well said: "Cancer is a thief in so many ways, and peace of mind is one of the things it steals." My SIL lives through it every time she has an appointment upcoming with her oncologist.

Hmmm...I use these in my coffee too. I don't think coffeemate would be any healthier would it???
