Great dinner out with SIL and BIL (her brother) last night. DH and he seemed to get along well. He is a lot like my deceased DH in looks and intellect. I have thought at various times that both DHs would have liked each other.

The free Premier Protein is ALL chocolate and neither I nor SIL like that flavor. I was hoping it would be an assortment. They must have an excess of chocolate. SIL is going to donate them to the food pantry.

Today is our next to last full day at the house here before I leave for Florida. Likely a day of laundry and more packing. I am packing for our Bar Harbor trip as well as Florida. Hard to coordinate it all. I did determine my wake/funeral clothing yesterday. The dress I was afraid wouldn't fit was a little bit big but I was able to take it in so it fits now. It is the dress I bought for DH's funeral and I don't believe I have worn it since then.

Have a fantastical Friday!

No weight for the foreseeable future. I'm really swollen but pain is well controlled! I'm moving around prey good for it only being 2 days post op.

I did take all the bandages and compression stuff off yesterday to take a shower and then put them back on!(well, DH did). So far incisions are looking good. I have a lot of swelling in my lady parts (sorry Peps) and am very bruised there too. Really the only place between my ribs and knees that is not compressed so I think all the extra fluid, blood is accumulating there.

Hello fresh this week is premade meals that DH can just heat up in the microwave. They are only okay. Nothing much else to report. Just gotta lay low!

Oh yeah - I remember that compression stuff. Feels good when you can get rid of it but very necessary now.

Greetings all

Overcast again. Spent the morning adulting trying to get insurance and tax info for the gallery. Tax place you leave a message and they will call you back in 3 or 4 hours. Well can't hang around for that. I think I have it mostly figured out and on the road to a solution. But boy did I have to waste a lot of time - on the phone twice to their tech support. Such baloney.

After all that I stopped at the store for a few things including some bananas to make the soft serve on the new machine. I was still cranky about all the morning's phone tag and tech issues and impulse purchased some Pepperidge farm cookies. By the time I got to the studio I had forgotten all about them., Duh!! Got a few new things made at the studio. The new glass space is all finished and looks great. The whiney crybaby glass members are gonna love it - or they should.

Meanwhile, got texts from DH that the garage door opener was kaput. He had it fixed but the whole thing likely needs to be replaced. It is all 30 years old so likely true. Another un fun expense

Liz glad you got the funeral dress figured out. Such items are things you end up not liking because of the cir****tances. Good that you could alter it and use it. Best wishes in your packing endeavors.

Paula great that you got a shower in. So glad you are not in pain. How long for compression?

DH birthday is tomorrow and I am going to a nearby bakery for a mini cake. Our football team plays so that is part of the plan.

Not much else.

I bet the glass people won't admit that they like the new space.

Garage doors like other house stuff that need replacement seem to have a specific useful life. At least it is longer than some other appliances which these days seem to conk out at 10 years or so.
