The painted cabinet doors in the bathroom look great! Looks like a brand new vanity. I wish I could paint the one in the other bathroom but alas it is some sort of laminate. Not terrible but not in keeping with the cabinets in the master bathroom and kitchen.

Today, I have the counter guy coming for an estimate on polishing them and tomorrow is the bathtub painting.

And today, DH arrives at 3! Very much looking forward to seeing him. We have a kick-off bocce meeting with our team at 5 at our condo but that shouldn't last too long. The first game is tomorrow at 4.

But first is the usual Justice walk. Have a titanic Tuesday!

I'm very curious about the tub painting. I think my tub needs to be reglazed. Is that a thing? At least I think it is.

It's foggy here this morning. Overcast through Wednesday, then there is a beautiful stretch of weather forecasted of high 70s and sunny. Not much color change yet, but the sun is setting much earlier than when I left. Saturday will be the last day the sun sets at 7pm until next spring. By the end of October, the sun will be setting around 5:30pm, and then when we fall back, it will be around 4:30 pm. Hello darkness, my old friend.

Big news, I did NOT gain any weight on this trip! Perhaps actually lost 1-2 pounds. I ate pretty freely, but I didn't do a lot of snacking. And I was pretty active most days. But I'll take it.

The next task today is to go buy some groceries. I'll go through the cupboards quickly to see what's still here. Most of what's in the fridge (very little) probably needs to be tossed at this point. It's reset time. I'm only going to get a few things when I shop though, because I feel like the nearby grocery store is more expensive than some other stores. I'd like to figure out a plan for buying more staples elsewhere. For example, their store brand can of black beans is $1.40, and at Aldi's it is $0.75. That can add up. Now I have the time to chase some bargains.

Paula I did not know they have Culver's in Florida. That's where we had dinner last night when we got home. Always the superior fast food choice if you need a quick meal. We drive past the original Culver's on our way to DS's home when visiting Midland/Madison.

I got home last night, and the texts from my parents have started up this morning. I will give them credit for not texting me a lot while I was away. Oh boy. Unsolvable problems. I will try to keep my zen.

Well off to get a few sundries and some more unpacking.

Yes it is called reglazing. My handyman said his sister did it and it looks phenomenal. I read that if done right it will hold up pretty well. Apparently it can fix where the old tub has gotten marred as well. We don't even use our tub so I'm not that concerned about that aspect.

I hate the darkness! One of the things I like about Florida is that there is an additional hour of light compared to Massachusetts.

Not surprised you didn't gain - it seems like snacking is the worst thing because our VSGs keep us from eating too much at one sitting.

I do enjoy Culver's when I'm in Minnesota/Wisconsin/Nebraska... One of my travel highlights is frozen custard. However, I have yet to taste anything as good as Kopp's in Wisconsin! That frozen custard place is the bomb!!!! The other sweet treat place I discovered this year was Handel's in Ohio. FANTASTI**** cream!

206 AGAIN.... I'm getting a bit frustrated. Not sure what's going on with my weight. I was VERY careful yesterday. Boooooo....

The house is a bit quieter with one less dog. I was a bit cranky yesterday when I got home. I know it's because that is how I was dealing with my feelings about placing Bug.

I also got into a bit of a disagreement with Ron about comments regarding about Charlie Kirk's "legacy". Those kinds of differences in our thinking and points of view are really frustrating for me.

Trimmed two wire fox terriers this morning. Next up is visiting dad and attending to a few errands for the upcoming trip. Then I'll trim on my own dogs.

Not much else to report...

Ciao.

Greetings all

A major sunny day here. It is almost hot. When I stopped at the studio someone said "hot enough for you?". It always seems to be warm there even though it is only a couple of blocks away from Humboldt Bay.

So I played scrabble this morning. Won two, lost to you-know-who. But not by a ton. So not too bad. Then I went to the studio and did a few things but was hungry so I went to the hippie dippy grocery. They do have a great deli. Got a chicken pot pie and other things. I should not go in there hungry...

Yes I was just thinking last night about the early darkness. Only three months ago it was light until after 9. I am not ready for winter weather even though around here it just means having an industrial strength umbrella.

Hey Peps, don't forget the Ferndale ice cream. That was pretty dang good.

Yeah DD grocery store prices sure vary. Out here we have Winco which is way cheaper than Safeway. I used to make a big trek there every week or two but don't since vsg. Good idea to go get canned stuff and pantry staples. These days Winco is so crowded it is hard to go there. Ditto Costco. Feeding a family must be frightfully expensive these days. W still have not made anything else in the Ninja Creami but will make it a goal to do so. Requires organization.

Still hoping to see how the bath tub looks Liz. Glad the cabinets worked out. Do you guys have bocce ball practice or just go for it?

Paula, got a house yet?

We started watching "Adolescence" last night. Very good but very intense. Two left for tonight.

They say it is much more expensive to eat healthy than to eat processed foods. No wonder we have so many overweight people n our country!

We have never had a practice in the past (which might be why we never do very well though we do have fun). We actually decided last night to set up 1 practice time per week.
