Praying that not too many lives are devastated by the hurricane hitting Jamaica. This was in one of the AP articles: "There is no infrastructure in the region that can withstand a Category 5." Prime Minister Andrew Holness said. "The question now is the speed of recovery. That's the challenge."

On the more mundane side, I had the fillers done yesterday. Looks pretty good though DH didn't even notice it. It is supposed to settle more over the next couple of weeks but so far so good. And they were pleased at what my skin looked like after the first laser treatment. The spots should start flaking off in the next few days which would be nice because right now I have to cover them with a lot more makeup than I usually use. DH says I am getting out the putty knife LOL.

Our new mattress arrives this morning so I need to get the bed stripped. This afternoon I meet with my PCP about my not so great bone density results. I am anticipating a reclast infusion in the near future. On the bright side, my mammogram was clear and I do not have dense breasts (weird to know that).

I have had some unusual but pleasant dreams this week. The other day I dreamed that Paula and I were in a classroom together. I think she was the teacher but my memory is foggy. Maybe DD and Peps were there too since my brain used a classroom? This morning I dreamed that I was watching videos of my eldest daughter Elise that I had not seen before and trying to record the videos on my own device. I can still see the videos in my brain. They were of her as a teenager and at around 11-12 in the awkward braces stage. I don't think they are actual memories because in the one of her as a teenager she was coaching some sort of game but she never did that. So weird but so comforting to feel like I had a visit with her in a way.

Time to walk with Justice. Have a talkative Tuesday!

Windy night and morning here (which while mildly annoying, it is a thousand times less than nothing compared with Jamaica. Those poor people! I can't imagine how frightening that must be). One good thing, the new electric screen has seemingly eliminated the unnerving howl that used to come from the catio on windy nights. What woke me up 20 times was the metal tarp grommets on the roof hitting the metal railing. So I took the tarps down today with no rain in the forecast and the roofers coming soon. I showered before 7 in case the roofers showed up as there is a window in the shower next to the stairs to the roof deck where the leak is. That's a humiliation I don't need!

A few errands to run today, but otherwise nothing major. Hoping the portapotty doesn't blow over in front of my house...

Liz, I might look into the IPL. I've got sunspots I would like to see fall off!

I hope everyone has a good day!

I will let you know how it goes! I have 2 more treatments after this but if the ones that turned really dark in the first treatment all flake off it will already be a huge improvement.

Greetings all

Quick check in before I go out and about. It is another sunny one so I look forward to the drive past the bay. I have to go to the big city for mammogram which will hopefully be "almost entirely fat". Fat and good are words rarely found in the same sentence.

Yeah that hurricane looks horrific. Huge storm surge and no where to go.

Glad the face stuff is going well Liz. We would love to see before and after of the brown spots if you are so inclined. Strange what dreams will do. They are sort of a gift. (dreams, not spots).

CC your views are spectacular. Appreciate them every day (minus porta potty). Sorry your Dad had another spell. Not easy on anyone.

DD sending positive energy to you.

So we continue to ramp up for Halloween. I need to hit CVS for more candy and party stuff. We also have to cut back our beautiful princess bush so guests can see kids out the window. Cutting it back seems to make it thicker and have more blooms but hurts in the short run.

Studio delivery and other misc chores. Hamburgers tonight.

Stayed up late for the world series. Quite a game. I have never been much of a baseball fan but it was exciting. Liking professional sports may be a sign of aging brain....

Made the trek to see Mom and am back home again! Makes for a long day but I just don't know when the last time I will see her will be. She looked today! We went out for Mexican (one of her favs too) and just visited a bit. Took the dogs to daycare and had them groomed while there. $200 later, they look and smell good!

Liz, so happy to have made your dream! I wonder what I was teaching? I did a lot of that in my career! Also cool that you had a nice dream about Elise!

Lots of work being done at your house CC! I hope the porta potty stays upright too! Yuck!

Enjoy your Halloween party Diane! We try to avoid the hullabaloo and usually go out to eat during Trick or Treat time. Keeping the dogs at bay with the constant knocking at the door would drive all of us mad!

I was in a fit of giggles today. I drove out my driveway to go get my car washed and I look over at the portapotty and the door is wide open right at the edge of the street with a perfect view of the throne and a stream of toilet paper flapping out the door in the wind. A trashier sight has never been seen in my neighborhood! I jumped out of the car and went scrounging for rocks in the culvert to put against the door to hold it shut. Thank goodness the two board members and one homeowner with the tightest rears didn't drive past and see it...
