Greetings all

Another rainy day here but in our little burg it's not bad. Other towns have had heavy rain and Avenue of the Giants and other low areas are flooded. There are loads of rivers and creeks here and some routinely flood in the winter. Near Ferndale there was a helicopter rescue of an older woman from her car through its sun roof! She was apparently making food deliveries to older people and ventured onto a closed road. Her car floated! Grateful that we have dedicated coast guard to do this. They love to do water rescues.

I was going to go shop and look for food storage containers for the chicken liver pate I will make tomorrow but DH said we had a lot of them and he dug them up from the far corners of the pantry. Who knows what else lurks in there. Trip saved.

So I skipped scrabble today due to this cold. I don't feel too bad with a cold pill on board but have a serious cough and don't want to inflict this on my friends (even though that is likely where I caught it).

Jeez Paula you have more than your share of family drama. Hope it eases. Good on you for being the bigger person. Sometimes when a person is fussing unreasonably you can ask them what they want or need? Often it is just to vent. But hoping that the vent part is over. Drive safely. For your sake I kind of hope DSD stays with aunt. Unrelated note: the southwest Florida eagle camera I watch is in Fort Meyers. The nest is in a somewhat urban area so it is possible to take a nearby trail and see the nest. You cold go see it! One chick hatched but the other egg may not make it.

And yeah CC TSA pre is essential. I have loose skin and got patted down all the way up my inner thighs a few years ago when I did not have PRE. I think a lot of WLS surgery people have this issue. Anyway, you are probably mid air by the time of this post so almost there. I have no doubt Kirby is having a blast.

Peps agreed. The christmas tree should be lit all day. For some reason DH thinks it should only be lit after dark but cripes its cloudy and we need other lights.

Liz enjoy your slow day and some Christmas music. I had Pandora on at the gallery yesterday tuned to a Christmas station and an older couple came in and actually started slow dancing to the music! It was funny and cute. Hope you guys get just enough snow to look nice and then melts.

Well time to rummage through the closet looking for wrapping paper. Who knows what I will find?

I like chicken liver, so I bet I would like your pate. I hated luncheon meat as a kid but I liked Braunschweiger, go figure!

Yes, too much drama! Something that I am not very used to. I never had a drama filled family but it is impossible to avoid with DSD. She seems to thrive on it! At least no police were involved (they have been with her Mom's side of the family!)

This appeared across the street last night. It is 30 feet tall!!
