118.4 - up 1. I am pretty sure after looking at my records that the scale here is slightly higher than the one up north probably by 1/2-3/4 pounds. Not a big deal.
We got home before 3 yesterday and it was a beautiful, sunny warm day in the low 80s. We took Justice for a long walk in the afternoon but DH was dragging (and I wasn't feeling too spry either). I think the adrenaline from all that traveling had crashed. We both felt exhausted. We calculated that we drove something in excess of 1500 miles going back and forth to various venues over that 2 week period. A lot of moving around. I left part of a vial of tirzepatide in the refrigerator there. Luckily I have lots more here, but I hate losing some of it. Good thing it wasn't a full one.
In contrast to the sunny warm day yesterday, the wind is howling this morning. Our lanai faces north so when there is a north wind, it blows like crazy and makes all kinds of noise. Can't open the sliders when it is like this. The temperature when I got up was 64, but the wind was just changing so the temperature will be going down from there. Today we have our usual end of year guests arriving for 2 nights while on their way to the Florida Keys for 2 months. We are sharing the rental with them for the first 2 weeks of February. But in the meantime we have to get ready for company after just getting home. I have appointments all day on top of that for my hair, my osteoporosis injections, and a Justice vet appointment.
Hopefully prior to all that there is time for a Justice walk. Have a toasting Tuesday!

Welcome back. I wish the warm weather could have stayed around a little longer for you and Paula. I spent one NYE in Florida years ago, and we were at a beach restaurant, sitting in adirondack chairs on the sand by a fire, drinking something fruity while wearing light jackets. Doesn't sound like that could happen this year. Once your guests leave do you have some down time?
Today is the first day I hae been alone in the house for a week. Although I absolutely LOVE having my kids here, I am enjoying the quiet. I'm wearing my workout clothes and will leave for Planet Fitness shortly. And I'm eating some eggs, instead of starting my day with a latte (protein forward with a cup of milk) and 2 cookies (not protein forward, but delicious). I sent the last of the cookies home with DD to share with her beau. Did I mention he sent us a beautiful bouquet of Christmas flowers? Sweetheart.
Today is all about washing sheets, resetting the guest rooms and packing. It will feel very good to get started on that.
We have 8 days after these guests until DS arrives. Not a lot of downtime but I will take it.
DD's BF does sound like a real keeper! Nice that both your children have found great people to be with.

I think I caught a bug on one of my flights. I'm very achey and headacheY with a scratchy throat. Sigh. I really tried not to touch my face, but I must have failed at some point. Tonight I was supposed to go out to dinner with friends at Elote (probably the best restaurant here), but I am skipping. They will take the reservations as they are very hard to come by!
So I'm taking Advil and hanging out on the couch today. Hope everyone else has a great day!
Feel better soon! DS went to urgent care today and tested positive for Flu A - a lot of stuff going around.
