120.2 Not much of an appetite with the sickness but am eating!
As I said in reply's to others, no NYE celebrations for us tonight! I might make Hello Fresh chicken chili. With our cold snap here, that actually sounds good!
I feel a hair better today (less of a sore throat but still have headache and fatigue) so hoping that I will feel even better tomorrow. We have appointments to get FL drivers licenses on Friday, so I want to be recovered by then for sure. Fingers crossed that DH doesn't get it!
Liz, grouper on the grill sounds divine. I love grouper! I love grilling a combo of peppers, onions and zucchini with seafood if you are still looking for a veggie idea. Grilled asparagus with mushrooms is also a yummy combo!
Well you rest up as well! I hope that chicken chili tasted good. Everyone here was in bed by 9 except me (I made it until about 10).

I picked up a Covid/flu A/flu B test at Walgreens. After 5 years, I've finally caught Covid! I suppose on the upside, I've felt worse. The fever is yucky, and my throat is sore, but otherwise I'm not on my deathbed or anything. Lousy way to ring in the new year. and I didn't lose my sense of taste, so that's nice.
So sorry! Welcome to Covid. Hard to distingui**** from other stuff these days unless you lose a sense of taste/smell (which only happened to me one time out of the 3 times I had it).

Greetings all
Happy New Year - almost. It was sunny earlier but the drizzle has arrived. We watched our football team this afternoon and they embarrassed themselves at the Las Vegas Bowl. Oh well. Then I made a quick run to the gallery to pick up the last $$ for the year and run them to the bank. We have steamed chicken and a steak to eat so we are set for tonight. We will likely be asleep at midnight but I am sure some azzhats will set off fireworks; much to the dismay of Tesla.
So no partying here. DD that restaurant with the small plates looks great! My kind of restaurant. Enjoy the evening then start the big packing mission.
Jeepers Covid CC? No fun. Glad you got a test. Are you going to get that paxlovid or whatever it is? Anybody use that stuff? I wonder if it works. Lemon tea all around.
And Bonnie and Paula under the weather too? Good grief not a good start to the year. Rest and naps RX. Amazing that science has still not come up with a cold cure. Maybe they make more money on all the over the counter stuff.
Not much else. I am yet again going to try to eat better this year and do more exercise. May not get it done but a little matters as my Apple watch tells me.
Yep Peps cannot sleep too hot although I swear 68 in the dark is different than 68 in the daylight. Looking forward to more daylight,
Everyone in this town must have a wood stove going. I sort of like the smell but I am sure glad I don't depend on it for heat.
Grouper Liz!! sounds great. Enjoy,
Diane S
Happy New Year! Hopefully not too many fireworks last night. We saw a brief spurt, but it didn't last long.
I have never had paxlovid - the first 2 times I had covid it didn't exist and the third time I was in Spain. Covid has generally been more mild and lasted a shorter duration than a cold for me.
