119 - no idea why it is up as I don't think I ate more than usual yesterday. Always weird.

Not much accomplished yesterday other than a bocce practice and a financial call. But we did have Thai food at a new place. It was quite good (maybe it had a lot of sodium which is why my weight ticked up because I didn't eat a lot?).

Today I have water aerobics after the Justice walk. The pool heater was repaired and it is warm enough outside. Looking forward to it as it has been quite a few weeks since I went. Other than that I have my last IPL appointment at the dermatologist followed by our first bocce games if I get done in time.

Have a world-class Wednesday!

The Mucus Trials continue. But I got dressed and put on makeup today. Fake it 'til I make it! Out of breath right now, but maybe I'll start dismantling the decorations today if I perk up. I did wake up with hives today on my scars despite my allergy meds. My immune system must be wonky from the virus.

Rain on its way supposedly. I won't get my hopes up.

The roof deck and waterproofing are done and the final payment made!! The last portapotty has been removed. It's a good week to be alive.

I have a list of to-do phone calls, but don't feel like doing them. Maybe tomorrow? Maybe not.

Hope everyone is well!

Glad you felt good enough to get doodied up today!

Also yay for roof decking and waterproofing being done and ports potty's going bye, bye!

I vote waiting on phone calls and dismantling Christmas decorations!

By the way, I was just looking at the new food pyramid. I like it. Seems like common sense to me and very similar to what I was told to eat after bariatric surgery. I'm glad to see the deemphasis of grains. The website is a little squirrelly and trying to be too fancy, but I like the message.

I like it too! Including the descriptions of what to prioritize. Much better than previous ones!

I like it too! The food pyramid was always a big teaching tool for me both as a health educator and when working in cardiac rehab. I?ve seen many different reiterations of this tool over the years, starting with the basic 4 food groups when I was in elementary school. I?ve been teaching nutrition since the mid 80?s! Yikes, I?m old!

Liz, I'm sure the Thai food is to blame for the uptick in weight.

As I predicted, my weight started the climb. Almost a pound in a day! I was 120.6 today.

Finally made it to water aerobics today! Also picked up some plants for my herb garden and a nice big tropical plant for the pool area!

Hello fresh Smokey Chicken tacos for dinner, they were okay. Tomorrow will be Big Mac salad for me, just regular burgers for DH.

Gonna skip my phone in Bible study group tomorrow. Water aerobics and sunshine are calling me instead.

Thinking of you DD. Hope your visit to your parents house today is going okay.

Sunshine and outdoor activities in this beautiful Florida weather are the key, especially when just getting over an illness.

Greetings all

Today started sunny but now it is raining. I was already out and about at the gym and studio. Today's musical selection was the Righteous Brothers. I also got some art trimmed and new things started. came home to find studio buddy being helped by DH with her new iPhone set up. as usual more complicated than needed.

So I made the black eyed peas with some bacon and also corn bread last night. It was great. Repeat tonight. Comfort food on a rainy day.

I have only heard news snippets about the new food pyramid but less grain sounds right. I am hoping there will be discouragement of highly processed foods which I think is the true enemy.

CC the nose vacuum is interesting. DH has a nauvage gadget but I have never tried it. I used a netty pot once and hated the after effect of feeling like in snorted the Pacific ocean. Hoping you feel better soon. Ditto Paula.

Yay for Thai food Liz. One of my favorite things. Our local Thai place has changed ownership so we will have to check it out.

Hmm my Apple watch is trying to cheat me. First time I did the stairs at the gym it recorded two flights. Next two times it recorded zero. Same stairs same place. Today it recorded one flight. Same deal. Makes me wonder what is up. It does check my heart rate which seems to square with the device on the treadmill. I only check it to amuse myself since I hate exercise.

Not much else. Thinking of you DD.

Pretty much every expanded section calls for the elimination of highly processed foods and the inclusion of whole foods. Such good advice.

The machine really just pumps ocean water into your nose as you describe, but while that does feel like you're drowning momentarily, the results are terrific!
