Good that it's warming up for you there. Hopefully there will be fewer and fewer of these spells as January ends and February starts up.

Greetings all
Big sun here. It is energizing. I have beaucoup financial and business chores to do so I made a list. Gallery deposits, sales tax, set up new dues lists, review year end financials to prep for tax return and blah blah woof woof. I am actually sitting here waiting for paint to dry. I ran out of bank deposit tickets and need to do the paper work here. So I found an old ticket with only a few marks on it. No white out exists any more so I did the same thing with some acrylic paint. Laziness is the true mother of invention. Yeah I will get a stack of tickets but did not want an extra trip today.
So last night I did something I have not done for perhaps 15 years - ate too much and spit up a bit. That was a surprise. Thought I could eat just one more bite. Nope. Sleeve still on patrol. Again learning the lesson that being sated does not mean being stuffed. That was one of my pre sleeve bad habits - thinking that huger was the absence of being stuffed. Not so.
Sorry to hear of the seasickness Liz. Dramamine does work. And I am told you need to keep something in your stomach to avoid it so the dry bread was a good move. Keep doing that. I personally do not ever get on a boat without dramamine but the patch is probably a better option. Anyway, hope it calms down and fun continues and the ship staff gets their act together.
DD Brazil on the horizon so soon! I am betting you will have wonderful experiences because you and DH have a contagious case of Minnesota nice. Bon voyage.
Yep Paula I am going to get some farro. Maybe make soup with it for the football champ game Monday which will include studio buddy who must be fed.
Peps could you get a pillow with an ear hole in it? Cut up an old foam one? I am also a side sleeper but at times when I have had to sleep on my back I trick myself by putting a second pillow on the side of my face. Glad you got out of the house.
So we watched the new star trek last night - Star Trek Academy. It was actually pretty good. In spite of my abhorrance of exploding aliens, I have always been a trekkie. There are some interesting characters and special effects that do not include alien guts. Also started the second season of Hi Jack. The same unlucky guy ends up on a hijacked train after getting off a hijacked plane.
CC so fun that you get to be a wedding attendant in Mexico. How cool. Love Mexico. Do you get to choose your dress? Hope your sinus stuff has calmed.
Yoo Hoo Bonnie are you well yet?
Well 3 things are done on my list of 7. Onward.

Still slightly drippy, but improving! I do get to choose my own dress I think. It's been a while since I've been to Mexico. Heat is not my thing, so it's not a destination that calls to me. But they love it, which is all that matters. Apparently it's a lovely all inclusive resort in Cabo and the ceremony is at sunset on a cliff over the ocean. My bff has great taste so I know it will be great.
Sounds like a lovely venue and how nice that you can wear what you want.
Good that you are improving - me too but oh so slowly it seems.

Love that innovation with the paint!
Good that sleeve still works. I rarely get to that point but get close once in a great while. From 90-120% full in a few seconds.

Not too bad, considering.
2nd day in a row feeling relatively well and energy to actually do something. Took Swann for something of a walk about, bit of kitchen fun- chopped 6# of lovely sweet onions for the freezer , cooked up a batch of candied orange peel, and clean up after. The peel will set out overnight to dry. I make it over Christmas (obviously didn't happen) so there were 8# of oranges waiting. Better late than never. It's crack around here and a real favorite.
Watching the Bills and Broncos. Overtime and rooting for the Bills (better looking uniforms) but looking unlikely at the moment. Yep....done deal- O well.
I guess the Bills lost? No idea if we can watch the Patriots today. Have not figured it out yet.

Today's activities: I'm finished packing except for toiletries. I even have my complete airplane outfit set aside, and the warm weather version of it I will change into once I am in the Sao Paulo airport.
I called my Dad today, and he said he was overwhelmed with loneliness Friday morning but when he opened his front door to go for a walk there were two packages. One was from Amazon. My son and his girlfriend ordered him cleats to strap on his shoes to help him walk on ice. The other was chili and cornbread from his neighbor. He said his heart lifted so much at that moment, and he told himself he wasn't alone. The pastor who did my Mom's service paid a call, and he said they had a nice talk. That man is a true Christian. I hope my Dad will consider attending his church from time to time.
BFF brought us dinner again. We had a good time with her and nephew.
I'm feeling really tired today. I guess it's all catching up with me. Not long, and we're on our way. Soon I can join the I'm sunning by the pool people. : )
So exciting that your trip is finally here. Your Dad will find his way. DS and his GF are so sweet!
