Good thing I have this daily posting to remind me of the day LOL! We are arriving in BVI this morning and should anchor shortly. We can't see the land from our balcony but I am guessing they can on the other side of the ship.

We stayed on the ship all day yesterday and didn't regret it. Our friend went into town for a while to explore and wasn't thrilled. We will get off the ship on all 3 BVI stops though. Last night's birthday celebration dinner for our friend (the husband) was good. Quite different menu but very tasty. It was supposed to be Mediterranean but different from restaurants like that at home. I had a great fish dish.

Today we anchor next to Virgin Gorda. There will be a BBQ and water sports like kayaking and paddle boarding from the beach all day. Looking forward to it as they always do a good job at it. Tonight we have a reservation at the steak/lamb chop restaurant on deck, then the crew talent show if we stay up late enough. I have been crashing by 10 every night and sleeping like the dead.

I hope DD and her DH arrived in Brazil safely and uneventfully. Looking forward to lots of stories from there!

Have a top-notch Tuesday!

Not done with the water weight yet. 198 this morning. I do need to exercise as, if I am being totally honest with myself, I am a complete and total sloth. Poor Kirby, being a good boy with all my sitting. If I could get well, walks might sound so much better.

There is a house under construction up the hill from me (fabulous lot, I should have considered it!) and they are laying their concrete foundation today. So many cement trucks!

You know what we don't seem to have anymore? Balloons. I am wondering if the prevailing winds that have kept us so warm and bone dry this fall and winter are steering the balloons away from us? Bummer, as I like them. Boon for my neighbors who don't like them!

Last night was supposed to be amazing for northern lights nearly everywhere, but I waited and looked a few times in the middle of the night and didn't see any.

No set plans today, so maybe I'll vacuum and dust. I hope you all have a great day!

Still having the sinus congestion or is it more? I hope it isn't a long Covid thing...

So sad that you aren't seeing balloons. I loved them and so enjoyed when you would txt me to tell me where to see them!

This is residual cold stuff. Sinuses draining in my throat. I did walk Kirby today. He was so happy! I was exhausted. Probably just the result of more than 3 weeks of inactivity!

I'm still draining from my sinus infection too - better every day for both of us hopefully!

Congrats on continued water weight loss and being below 200 always feels good!

Sorry the winds or whatever are keeping the balloons away. I would enjoy seeing them too!

Nice that you and Kirby could get a walk in. Who's a girl? says Kirby!

Greetings all

It was a foggy drive by the bay to Scrabble today. Lots of fog. But I totally triumphed at Scrabble and won all three games including defeating the Shark rather soundly. Lucky me. My one friend has a very sore leg for unknown reasons and all the scrabble players insisted she make a doctor apt. I worry about blood clots and stuff like that. I will follow up with her later today.

So a good time was had by all watching the football game last night. Close and exciting game. The pot roast was exquisite. Addition of a bit of bacon was useful. So more for tonight's dinner.

Tonight there is a gallery membership meeting which I don't want to attend but must because I skipped the last one. I need to go there anyway to deliver new stuff and pick up money. Hopefully it will be a short meeting since I hate being out after dark. Then tomorrow morning I have a zoom board meeting for the studio for which I must actually prepare. Such a busy life.

What no balloons CC? What is up with that? I love seeing those. Good on you for getting out of the house for a bit. And for continued healthy eating. Hopefully the cement trucks will finish soon.

Liz tell more about the BVI. The beach day sounds great as does the food and party. Hope the icky weather is gone.

So I have been wearing my new Hikes shoes. I think they are going to work out. They are the barefoot kind which just means a thinner sole and so I feel better balanced. I need to adjust the lacing as they are the kind you can step into but I want the support of being laced up.

I am contemplating a nap. A good way to kill a bit of time until the meeting at 5;30. Snore,,,,,

Liz, the beach day with kayaking etc. sounds fun. BBQ as long as it is just grilled without actual BBQ sauce or rubs sounds good too!

120 even today!

Cold again today! We went to try and get our new golf cart woes fixed today and will need to talk with the GM who is at the PGAs for the next week. They better do what's right and give us a new cart but we already heard the all sales are final spiel. Not if the new cart you get is clearly not new!!!!

We turned in our passport paperwork today. The city government buildings were downtown Fort Myers so we went out for lunch while in the area. We found a really good lobster roll place!

Tonight was fried clams and fresh salad from my new lanai garden. A few card games and wine and soon we will be ready for bed! Such a life!
