120 - not likely to go down tomorrow after Super Bowl junky eating today. Only the shrimp are healthy.
Movie fail last night - must have been the change in genre. Our friend wanted DH to watch Blazing Saddles because he thought it was hilarious and DH had never seen it. I read a book and the other woman went to bed (we both felt it was stupid). No laughter from the men. Maybe they thought it was stupid at this point in life too? Possibly one of those movies you have to be 20 and stoned to think it is funny?
8 miles of walking for DH, Justice, and me yesterday. Four miles for our "usual" walk in the morning, then another 4 miles in the afternoon on the Old Seven Mile Bridge. Very cool to do that. The keys were originally connected by a train but the old train bridges have been rotting for years. They restored this 2 mile section from Knights Key to Pigeon Key which runs along the north side of 7 mile bridge. Pigeon Key was closed yesterday because they were setting up for a wedding. What a cool place to get married!
Had to get handy yesterday as the knob to our shower broke and the water wouldn't go fully off or on. Instead of waiting for the owner to get a plumber (which I am guessing might not happen right away on a weekend), the other husband and I decided to try and get a new knob and fix it. We did!
Today might be a beach day, then junk food while watching the Patriots/Seahawk game. I suspect Diane S' team will win, but it is still amazing that the Patriots made it this far. Such a young quarterback!
The bus leaves at 7:30 as usual. Must put laundry in first. Have a Super Bowl Sunday!

Yay for being handy!
I am rooting for the Seahawks, because it would be great to see Sam Darnold (former USC Trojan) win the Super Bowl after being traded and given up on so many times. And I have a residual dislike of the Patriots after all the Brady years (hee hee).
Kirby got a bath last evening. Lots of dirty water!
Today is a cleaning day. My folks arrive tomorrow.

Newcomers class and church this morning. Sunni g right now. I'm distressing some frames I had to put my artwork in. I'm not sure I am all in on Shabby Chic but will probably sell better at an antique mall. My normal high intensity color and high gloss metal prints are more for art shows. Pays to know your audience (hope I am right).
Seafood salad for lunch (fake crab, shrimp, diced celery and mayo thing from Publix, it's good). I'm making tilapia, farro and grilled veggies for dinner. Not sure how much I will cook this week since DH flys out tomorrow and won't return until Saturday night. I should take tips from CC!
Weather should be beautiful all week. Sunny and mid to high 70's. No excuse not to go to water aerobics!

The rain has arrived. It is steady but not a downpour and should last all day. Predicted to be 3/4 inch. Soon I will start making chili for the Super Bowl. Studio buddy will be over so it will be lively regardless of the game. We are looking forward to Bad Bunny and hope the show lives up to the hype.
We kept trying to watch Olympics last night but all we could find was curling. No thanks. Better stuff came on late. Our tv is through youtube and I am still learning how to work it. I long for the day when you could just flip though channels. In addition to chili cooking I will be running loads of dog blanket laundry since we keep multiple sheets and blankets on the sectional to ward off the dog dirt.
Liz I can't believe Justice walked 8 miles on those little legs! What a trooper. How long did all that take? Don't blame you for no****ching Blazing Saddles again. It was funny a long time ago when it made fun of racism but now it is sort of painful to watch.
So CC you Dad planned his trip to watch the super bowl at home! Enjoy the visit. What will your dad watch if football is over? Yeah i am rooting for the seahawks though we are far from rabid fans.
Paula the distressed frames will have a more beachy vibe which should appeal at your location. One never knows what will appeal until it sells. I love the stuff printed on shiny metal personally. Enjoy the newcomers day at church.
Not much else. I ate another grilled sandwich last night which was good. DH preferred hot dogs. Go figure.

Oh man, curling! It's actually pretty popular in WI. Had a boyfriend years ago that belonged to a curling club! Funny to watch them sweep! I'll take ice skating for my viewing pleasure, thank you!
