120.2 - gaining Paula's weight again. I did eat a fair amount last night but not a huge quantity. I think I may be a bit backed up from travel and lack of sleep. Yes, a second night in a row of poor sleep. 3 hours total maybe?
Took a long time to drive to Captiva yesterday but it is really beautiful here. We had a cute little dog friendly cottage last night. This resort has several restaurants, a couple of pools and ocean beach access. We took a long walk on the beach with Justice when we got here yesterday afternoon. I was a bit sweaty afterwards but he was happy.
We went to the Bubble Room early so we wouldn't have to have a late night. We got there at 5:15, had a drink at the bar and were seated by 5:30. Dinner was fairly tasty but WAY too much food and though their desserts are famous there was no way. DH got one to go. Maybe I will have a bit tonight. The place is really unique. Pictures below.
Not sure when we will leave here today. Checkout is at 11 and it is 8 now. DH just said he wants to have breakfast, take a walk, then leave. We want to stop by the fancier resort he stayed at for 15+ years with his family to see if the buildings which were destroyed in Hurricane Ian have been restored, then we will drive the 3.5 hours across the state home. Either we get takeout or go out for dinner tonight as we have no refrigerator until tomorrow morning. Thank goodness for coolers (all our condiments are in the wine cooler at home).
Happy Birthday Peps!!! Have a sunny Sunday!

192.2 argh! "Regular" dinners are hard on me. And this morning is Sunday pancakes and bacon. I am going to have eggs and bacon instead, but still.
Adding on to picture day! The mirror hanger came yesterday (and lifted the 50 pound mirror like it was nothing). And amazingly, both of the hooks that it hung on in the middle of this bug wall were on studs! That never happens. It looks so great, I'm really pleased.
Heady with decorating success, I ordered a semi-antique runner rug for my hallway. That's apparently defined by age, over 50 years old, which makes me semi-antique as well! I found a website (based here in AZ) that has thousands of rugs and they have free shipping and free returns if it doesn't work. Add in fantastic prices and it was an easy decision to give it a try:

Not sure what the plans are today. But it will include a dog walk. Hope you all are doing well! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEVON! ![]()
Love the mirror AND the rug! Good find on the rug place.

Fun pictures Liz and fun to see you and Mike through the years! Safe travels home today!
118.8, same as yesterday. I?m already eating more now that DH is home! That?s okay, 120 should be my low anyway.
Newcomers class at church and then the regular church service today. We did a little grocery shopping ate lunch and then took a nap! Tonight we will finally join our 55 plus Bible study group!
Making chicken enchiladas with green sauce for dinner. Easy and yummy. I put chicken breast in the pressure cooker with the Mexican spiced rotel, canned green chilis and taco seasoning. When it is all cooked, I shred up the chicken mix with Mexican blend cheese, stuff the tortillas, pour the green enchilada sauce over it all (I put a little in the bottom of the pan too so the tortillas don?t stick) and add more cheese on the top. I will then bake for 30-45 minutes (depending if they are warm or cold when I?m ready to bake them) and dinner is done!
Time for a little dog walk!
For some weird reason the "Like" button was missing for a while (it is back now). Good old OH...
I hope you are liking your new church? I know that it is important to you.
That recipe sounds yummy. May have to try that.

Greetings all
Steady rain here. Made me sleep even later than usual. I won't be going out today but to justify it I need to do paperwork chores such as figuring out the new sales tax payment system for the gallery and getting its tax return together. Most of the work is hunting for all the papers I need, printing forms and clearing a spot on the desk or kitchen table to work at.
So I have been looking at the resurrected bracelet. Brother encouraged me to look up the coins. I got an app on the phone and took pictures of one. App said it was an Ottoman empire coin made of nickel and worth about four dollars. So I looked at the coin more closely. It says United States of America, 1914, Ten Dollars and in god we trust. So I think that app is a piece of #*&$@$& and deleted it before I get charged. Brother sent me a more reputable web site. I doubt these coins have any numismatic value since they are made into a bracelet but it is fun to look up. I needed a magnifier and still can't see some stuff. But it was worth spelunking in the closet.
CC I LOVE your decorating style. Southwest eclectic edgy and fun. The mirror is great as is the rug.
The Bubble room looks great Liz. And you have history there and did not have to wait!! Great event. Bet you will be glad to get home. Justice too.
Happy Birthday Devon! Hope you have something fun planned but don't do anything we wouldn't do. Cake?
Great sounding dinner Paula. Mexican style food is so good. The best part is that is dinner for a few days. I have a good friend who lived in Mexico for several years but unfortunately does not cook. But she knows which of the restaurants around here are most authentic.
DD still loving your posts. There was quite the fuss about Brazil on the Olympics because a Brazilian skier won gold and Brazil has never had a winter olympics medal before. They show the guy doing samba in his ski outfit. Very fun.
