No weight - in Fort Lauderdale

We had a nice late afternoon and evening with DH's DD and DIL. We ate at a cool rooftop restaurant. Though my meal was extremely tasty it wasn't even remotely healthy. A bit of a disappointment. Shrimp and scallop pesto pasta had 2 small shrimp and 2 tiny scallops with ton of pasta. I usually eat stuff like that by filling up on the seafood then eating a little bit of the pasta. Too much pasta was consumed to make up for the missing protein. And of course that was after munching cookies in our room because I needed a snack and there wasn't anything healthy available. Must go back to my previous days of bringing my own snacks.

We knew that DH's son was going to start to look at new job postings in June after he completes 2 years in Poland, but apparently they have definitely decided to return to Fort Lauderdale so will only look at postings there and DIL is looking at homes to buy during the upcoming week. Wow! Big news, and good to hear. They have had marvelous travel experiences in Europe, but didn't love Poland and are ready to get back to life and starting to have children. Yay!

We are leaving here within a few hours to pick up Justice and do our walk with him at home. At least I don't have to worry about him there as he immediately recognized the people working there and was all wiggly and giving them kisses. It is a daycare/boarding place but is very clean, has lots of outdoor space and a stable staff so he does well there.

191.2 Pleased with that given all my eating! We went to have Chinese last night.

It's a rainy day here. There is a Sedona Arts Center patron's open house at a home today and I am going to check it out as I'm hosting the one in May and have never been to one. I want to see what's expected of me! I asked my folks and no one wants to go with me... The only thing I dislike more than a party thrown by someone I don't know is a party thrown by someone I don't know where I have to walk in alone!

We finished Dept Q. Great even the second time around.

I think my rug comes tomorrow. Though the company seems to be based in Paradise Valley, AZ, they are made up of two companies (?) and this shipped from Germany yesterday and should be here tomorrow. How crazy something can get here that fast from the other side of the world.

198.7 - Well bust my buttons! I can't even remember the last time I dropped below 199.something.

It was cold yesterday. We had snow on the mountain. Very pretty, but for a CA with less padding than I used to have.... BRRRRR.... A little warmer today. Got up to the low 50s and only occasional showers. Tomorrow another storm is supposed to come through with another couple inches of rain.

It's Ash Wednesday, so that meant that last night was pancakes for dinner. YUCK! But it's a tradition that Ron loves. Fat Tuesday, don't you know! So, I made pancakes with scrambled eggs and some low fat, some type of paleo high protein chicken/basil sausages.

I am back to "body parting" out my workouts this week. Chest and back MWF, legs TTh. Felt good to do a full leg workout yesterday. I'll do a push pull tonight after my dog club meeting.

Not much else going on here today.

Greetings all

The sun was out this morning though it is cloudy now. I think our storms are not over but just paused. I spent most of the day doing grown up stuff like banking for the gallery and figuring out our new sales tax payment schedule since we got into a higher income range. They sent a letter to go to the web site but the site does not provide visible instructions for this. I had to call for assistance and it is so dumb that they don't tell you on the site how to do this. Very easy but too obtuse. I told them that in my customer service review. That done. I paid car registration and went to the gym.

Yay Liz, kids coming back from Poland and maybe future grand kids. How fun. Good that Justice has a happy place to go to.

Peps you are shrinking away! Awesome. You earned it. And yeah pancakes don't even sound good though I guess there is some kind of protein pancake mix but that does not sound good. Anyway congrats.

CC I am with you - hate going to a new place where I know no one. But do it if only to snoop through what is probably a cool house. If you liked Department Q you might also like Hijaked. First season is a plane, second one a train. What next, a row boat?

Not much else. I have pork chops for tonight which I think will include bbq sauce.

118.6 I think, this morning was so long ago!

Meant to go to water aerobics today but got busy doing business readying activities and before I knew it the class had already started and I didn't want to join in late.

I officially have a vendor spot, sign a 6 month contract on Saturday. Start date is March 1st but I can start setting up the booth anytime after Saturday.

Went to Lanai ladies happy hour tonight and it was fun!

Leftover enchiladas for dinner!

Tomorrow is a super busy day, water aerobics at nine, cut and color at 11:00 and a couples massage at 1:45. I should have Bible study at 10 too but won't be able to fit it in!
