199.8 Perhaps this is the new normal! I had a very average day of eating, so who knows???? I'm gonna take this as a good omen.
Liz, you should be driving home from Ft. Lauderdale by now, assuming all your flights were on time. I'm sure you'll be glad to be back home with Justice in tow.
CC, small world and what a great coincidence that your friend uses the same facility that came from my research. I vote for giving a trainer a try. You'd be surprised by how it will actually help your arm issue, too!
DD, I was wondering if it is hard for you to be away from MN right now with all the turmoil, or if it is a relief? I loved the food photos from yesterday's excursions! The beef and cake! OH MY!!!!!
I'm going to workout today. I will take it easy, but I'm almost 3 weeks out and it's time to get the body moving a bit again.
After a day of gray yesterday, we have beautiful sun. Temperature is in the 40s, but I will take the blue sky!
I'm going to try to be a little bit more productive today than I have been while recuperating. I've thoroughly enjoyed being a slug, but I think it's time to start getting back to normal.
Speaking of recuperation... I was able to sleep for a little while early this morning on my side!!!! Whoo hooo! I still have areas that are still pretty swollen along my the vertical part of my jawline parallel to the ear. Those areas are still tender. The tissue tenderness, along with the ear tenderness, are the two reasons that it's hard to sleep on my side. I will be happy when all is back to normal in a few months.
Wishing everyone a great start to the week!

198.4. Probably because of lack of potty productivity!
Well I tried the senior weight video again with 3 pound weights and made it through easily. 3! Argh. My shoulder/arm that's been bothering me since June is still problematic, so there were several things I couldn't do. I've been trying to figure out what is wrong with it, and came to the realization that it's primarily my bicep with a little shoulder involvement. I got a massage gun wondering if maybe I had torn something in my bicep that's healed poorly (the most pain I get is reaching back behind me, which I now realize I do A LOT and is likely how I hurt it to begin with - into the backseat from the driver's seat, to my nightstand from bed, putting a jacket on, holding the dog on a leash, etc). I got a massage gun figuring if it was adhesions or something, maybe it would help. It has made a huge difference in my range of motion! I feel like I've gotten 30% of my range back. It still hurts (I can't hold my arm out straight to the side or raise any higher from that position) and I think there's a lot of compensating issues that are creating pain, but it's helped. I probably need to see an orthopedist and have PT... Another thing for the endless list.
My measurement suit comes today haha! I shall report back.
The Christmas decoration removal was easy. She had already stripped the tree. It was mostly putting it all back into the garage shelving and bagging up the tree. She made us lunch and it was yummy. She was telling me about her gym/trainers and it's the same one Peps looked up for me (not the same exact trainer, she's booked up). I may give them a call.
Kirby played with her dogs and was so out of control eventually I drove him home. He's got no ability to just play nicely or stop when they don't want to play anymore. We are meeting with a new trainer tomorrow.
Today my folks and I are meeting with the architect from MI on Zoom who has been taking her sweet time on the plans for the two houses. She originally said she'd have them by September. Last month we asked if she was too busy and should we find someone else. She finally got moving... My folks want a bigger bathroom and closet and some kind of lift to get in and out the house should someone not be able to use the stairs (the whole house is raised up about 5 feet and accessed via stairs). So reworking the primary bedroom end of their house. I want to redo my bathrooms.
It's sunny and beautiful here if a little cool with a high of 52. No balloons today. That's my world today. Take care!
Yes, today is warm enough for water aerobics but will be cloudy, so probably not a lay out by the pool day!
It is 5:50 and DH is up so a quick post.
Nice early part of the day laying around the pool, then a great game watching the Patriots win. The bar we were at was full, mostly with Patriots fans but also a few Bronco fans. The start of the game was a little nerve-wracking.
We leave the hotel at 6:45 for a 9 am flight. Back in Fort Lauderdale at 11, then home hopefully by 2. Can't wait to see my little Justice! Good thing we aren't flying to New England as it is still snowing there. But my quick look this morning seemed to indicate that they did not get as much snow as originally predicted. More like a foot or less instead of the potential 2 feet they were warning about.
Have a moving Monday!

So glad you are enjoying it so much. A lot of people in Spain didn't speak English so we used Google Translate a lot. Sometimes I would type into it and show them and they would type their reply back. Even here in Puerto Rico there are some people who only speak Spanish so Google Translate has come in handy again. However most people are bilingual, some to the point that they have no accent when speaking English and I assume not in Spanish either. I read that in schools here English is a required language taught daily but the other subjects are taught in Spanish.

Nice that you can go to a local Mexican restaurant there. We have a good one near us in Florida we go to frequently. I suspect ICE won't be around in Florida too much because most communities, like Mar a Lago, are largely supported by immigrant workers. We couldn't manage without them.

I thought there was one more day of warm weather on Monday? Not looking forward to the rest of the week though.

Yep, I think we all use our BM status to explain some changes in weight. I think that is perfectly valid.
I did google swollen ears after a facelift and a lot of sources like RealSelf (which I think is fairly valid) mention it as a frequent after affect for some people potentially lasting a few weeks. Most said not to worry unless there were signs of infection present.

Should be more fun taking down Christmas decorations with a friend? Maybe...
Those Soupercubes look really handy especially if you want to have single portions frozen to easily access.

DH is watching the Patriots game, small world these days with so much ready media at our finger tips. Liz you asked about English here. This area of Brazil is not a huge international tourist area, but there is usually someone around who knows some English. I don't know if you would find menus in English, but in places like Rio, you certainly would. Today we were having a little trouble figuring out where the Uber pick up spot was and I asked a nice young man, in Portuguese, if he could help me. He smiled and said, We can speak in English so you both understand what I'm saying. If you were to go to Rio, which is incredibly beautiful, but difficult to traverse, a tour is the way to go. I will always put in a plug for Foz de Igucu, on the border of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. It's like 1/2 a dozen Niagra Falls all in the same place.
Today DH and I ventured out on our own to a flea market via Uber. I think one of the things travel offers is a chance to challenge yourself. Our cell phone signal kept going in and out, and we wondered what we would do if we didn't have a signal when we got to the park. We decided we could go into a restaurant that had wifi, call a cab, or wal****il we had a signal again. There's usually a way to make things work.
We sat in the park by the flea market listening to music and people watching, enjoying the breeze, pinching ourselves that we were really here and it is working out so well. We're only on day six and feel like we've had weeks worth of fun.
After the flea market, we met our friends (via Uber) at a restaurant. It's been in business for 50 years, and has a beautiful expansive patio with mature trees. And food to die for.
Opps, my brother just called to ask if we want to go for hot dogs at this special grill. Off we go! More later.
