Oh man, I can't believe SIL wasn't going to come clean about being on a GLP1. Pancreatitis is no bueno! Yikes!
I put a pic I took of the super moon last night on FB. Just went outside to see it again tonight and it is hiding. I didn't think it was that cloudy.
The friend I met for lunch is thinking about doing GLP 1s. I get mine from Emerge. What are the other reputable companies that still offer them? I want to be able to give her resources.
DH and I decided we won?t buy gifts for each other this year. We just buy whatever we want anyway. Plus multiple purchases have been made as of late and I don?t think we are done yet. I?ll get something for my Mom, probably clothes. And then for the kids we decided to do gift cards and/or cash. Most of them have been complaining about being strapped for cash lately, so perhaps they can use the Christmas money to do something fun!
Greetings all
Yet another sunny day but there are beach warnings. No need to warn me though I was tempted because there have been spectacular sunsets lately.
So I am lazing about air drying my hair and will hit the gym in a bit. They have been painting the stripes in the parking lot so limited spaces. First world problems indeed.
DH went out to lunch and brought home a cheeseburger so that is dinner. Makes my day when I don't have to come up with something though I did pick up a pot roast for tomorrow. I have gallery duty in the pm and expect it to be slow so it will be nice to come home to completed dinner. Tomorrow is also Tuba Christmas in the local shopping center which I guess I will miss.
Those nails look great Liz. Is that something one could do for a day or two and then remove? And DD yours also look great. Understated elegance in both cases.
Peps OMG on your SIL. She really needs to tell her doctors her meds. Why not? Hoping she feels better soon and gets good care.
Paula nice that you met people with a connection. I bet the clubhouse is a fun place to hang out and meet people.
CC we love your window cleaner. I wonder why there is not a version for high rise buildings? But uh oh, clean windows might result in bird strikes. Did you ever get the plastic owl for that? We finally have some little sparkly hangings to keep the swallows out of our porch cover.
WE had some discussions about Christmas today. Our host wants to keep it small and simple which is fine with me. His late wife always did it up HUGE - like 6 Christmas trees - but he just doesn't have the energy. We will all help. Also gifts will be bring one and draw one and not everyone for everybody. Works for me. What do you all do for gifts? I gotta think of a gift that could go to anybody and it may be a half case of local wine. Except one guy does not drink at all. I am grateful for something low key and festive. I found out my brother's plans fell through and he did nothing.
DH is continuing to exercise on his balance board. yay.

What if a student were to ask AI to generate a summary of a book, then rephrase the summary in their own words? Sort of like a modern cliff note but easier to access. How would a teacher know that the student didn't really do the assignment?

I agree with CC on Venmo - too easy to pick the wrong person. It's a great service but one has to be careful.

Banana bread - yummm! Best to not have it in my house. I too would probably stop sooner than I used to but I'm not sure DH could.

Thank you for the book suggestions! I am going to read a few of the ones which were available in my online library then pick one. And now I have a good reading list for me!
So glad your Mom made the right choice. Hospice does a good job of monitoring existing conditions and should be able to keep your Mom more comfortable.
Happy belated birthday to your DD!

Yes, AI is definitely scary when used without caution. How the heck does it know how to manufacture information???
