The bathtub is white! Turns out it had been painted previously with a roller (not sprayed). The previous owner must have done it to get that spectacular battleship gray look... That is a good sign for how the reglazing will hold up in the future as that bathtub has been in use after being painted for at least. 5 years and I didn't know that it wasn't the original finish. Will put a picture up after we take off the rest of the tape which stays on until later this afternoon. The smell was a little obnoxious but not overwhelmingly so. We stayed on the lanai with the doors to the condo shut most of the day, then the 2 bathroom fans were running with the bathroom door closed all night which made it possible to sleep in the house. With better weather we could have opened the windows to get rid of the smell but not at 90 degrees with periodic thunderstorms.
Speaking of rain, we were supposed to play 9 holes of golf with friends this afternoon but it will likely be rained out today. Even if not actively raining at that point the course will probably be all soggy. BTW we are under a topical storm watch because of tropical depression 9. If it comes, it will be mostly rain and some wind so we aren't too concerned unless we lose power which would be very uncomfortable this time of year. But it is still too early to worry about that.
Have a soggy Sunday!

I absolutely would be exhausted with that kind of traveling. Reminds me of when DH and I made our first drive to Florida together. We decided never to do that again LOL. But you will have probably driven even more miles as our trip was only 1650 miles.
Definitely boring after a while and absolutely not good sitting in place for hour after hour.

That looks like a fantastic place to spend time at on a weekend! And that music should would appeal to me.
DSD has one of those lift up tables - very handy if you eat in the living room a lot. I think you can find them on Wayfair.
My mother went to college at University of Oregon so she always watched the games in her Oregon Duck sweatshirt.

I wrote something to post yesterday, but forgot to push submit! Sigh....
California to Utah, Utah to Nebraska, Nebraska to Illinois. Over 2,000 miles in three days. Tomorrow Youngstown, OH and then New Jersey on Monday. Then I'll be done traveling for a week. Then it'll be the trek home.
Food was pretty spot on today. Road trips are hard for me to stay on point with my eating. Boredom hits... Eating is something to do... Not a good combo. I'm also retaining a lot of fluid right now. Probably all the sitting.
Time to walk the dogs one last time and then head off to bed.
Sleep well.
Greetings all
Another big sunny fall day. It started with an emergency call from the gallery because the worker could not get the safe to open and there was no cash to open with. I scurried around the house and came up with a bunch of small bills to take. Then got a call that they found the emergency key and were all set. Problem solved. After that I went to the Fieldbrook winery for the festival. It is such a nice place and it was cool and sunny. It is 5 miles inland and is sometimes warm. Imagine 500 old hippies drinking wine and listening to 70s music with various feral children roaming about. There is quite a bit of art though most is not all that great. Beads, candles, yard art. My friend did buy a cool bomber jacket made of recycled silk. I was tempted but didn't. Anyway fun.
So this afternoon is football. Oregon ducks vs pen state. We are almost oregon here and our other team is off. I will cook my yum yum sandwiches. I see no progress whatsoever in DH cleaning the garage. Ho hum.
Congrats Paula you have a FLa house!! Looks great. I am sure it will all fall into place. That is where realtors earn their money. Moving long distance is a good motivator to get rid of lots of stuff. We did it. Moving is expensive but you know that. Cannot wait to hear about you exploring your new surrounds.
What's with these football games in Ireland DD? College teams do it too and I have no clue why - other than it must make someone some money. DD your comments about puttering with the plants and yard are pure joy. So delightful to get to do these simple things.
Liz good luck on the table search. Something will turn up. I need a coffee table and might do the second hand store as dogs will beat it up. I kind of want the kind that lifts up.
Not much else. I sit here looking at the piles of papers I need to ditch. I finally got the pin number needed from the state tax dept to look at a discrepancy on gallery taxes. I had it so bolloxed up that I had to just start over and get a new pin which they mail to you and takes forever to get here to this remote place. Took t weeks to get here and expires in 3. well duh.
Not much else. Noticing that the sweet peas have pretty much gone to seed now.

It was originally set for Nov. 14 for our house here but we have been asked if it could be Oct. 30, though that offer (for the 3rd house down the line had not come through yet). We will probably close in FL early November then.
Congratulations! Fingers and toes crossed that all goes smoothly!
What is your potential closing date?

121.7 today.
We have a house in FL! Yay! At least as long as the sale of our house here doesn't fall through. I'll post a link on TT so you can see it.
Busy day packing up stuff and making decisions. DSD and hubby are here. They are moving the crap they have stored here to a storage unit.
Coscto chicken Alfredo with pasta and garlic bread and Caesar salad for dinner. Easy Peasy!
Need to get back at it! Posting more stuff on FB Marketplace to sell!
Sounds like you have a lot of good stuff on the agenda. I need to make some ratatouille too! I agree that it tastes even better if it sits for a while.
