That's so annoying about the golf cart dealer being such a sleaze. I wouldn't worry about parts though. People who take care of them keep them for years! The one I bought when I was in Port Charlotte was refurbished - ran as well as a new one.

Fiberglass I'm guessing, plastic like and it is more of a scrape than a dent. They had already tried painting over it but it is still obvious. Not a real big area so I'm going to put some hibiscus car sticker decals on the front and cover it up!

195.4 which could be lower with decent you know what that has been eluding me!

Lunch yesterday was fun! Between her trips to Europe and Antarctica, mine to MI, and getting sick, I haven't seen her in a month and a half. So we had lots to catch up on.

I did chore stuff after. One of which was my most hated household maintenance thing, changing the house water filters. No matter what, I make a mess and it's a struggle to get the filters unscrewed. What prompted the filter change other than it was time, was the neighborhood well pumps were shut off for an hour to replace the thing that powers our fire hydrants. When the water came back on, I was turning on faucets and flushing the toilets to get the air out of the line and it was coming out slightly rust colored even with my two house filters. Ick. The ickiest part was, I flushed the fancy Toto toilet and it has a high powered swirly flush and it shot rusty water out onto my walls and 5 feet out the door. What a mess! Note to self, with a water outage, put a towel over the Toto before flushing.

This morning the pool cover measurers come. And the big plastic cushion storage bin came for the roof deck, so I have to carry those pieces up one by one and put them together. Exercise counts in many forms!

Until then, I'm enjoying my coffee. Hope you all have a great day!

I'm sorry about the cart! That business sounds like an old school smarmy car dealership. We can only hope for karma for people like your salesman. Don't say what the material is where the ding is, but if it's metal, maybe a car ding repair person could get it out?

The stare down between the dogs! Lol!

I was wondering what the flaming app was, now to look up what Saganaki is!

And just like that, you now weigh less than me! Today I was 120.8!

The golf cart resolution is not what we had hoped for. I guess the cart was made in 2022-2023 and then discontinued. It was a $18,000 cart that they are now selling for $8,000. I guess the discount is twofold, one they want to get rid of the old model and two they have been sitting in a warehouse in Orlando for a few years and may have some cosmetic damage ( which the one that was delivered to us does). Our salesperson told us none of this. If fact he led us to believe it was a new model stating that nobody in our community would probably have one like it! I guess we should have held to the old addage if the deal is too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. We did see a cart on there lot that had just been sold and it looked fine to us. They just didn?t have the color we wanted so had to get from their Fort Myers store. The GM said they couldn?t exchange because the warranty is already in our name (we call BS on that one). The only offer we got is to pick up the cart and fix the things wrong with it (blinker that doesn?t work and some loose wires that are hanging out) but too bad so sad about the ding on the front of the cart. We were also offered a free one year pickup and maintenance package which I guess is a $400 value - big whoop! The cart is really nice looking in general, I?ll post a pic on TT later. We are just concerned about getting parts down the road for any maintenance issues and wonder if the discontinuation of the model is for poor performance (reviews online are varied). Grrrrr, live and learn!

Off to water aerobics right now! Will post more about the day later!

Edited to add: well, water aerobics didn't happen. The pool heater had not yet caught up to the cold snap and the water was too cold for me, especially since there is still a bit of a cool breeze even if the outside temp is 60 ( which is my cutoff for attending water aerobics). The ladies already in the water said to come on in, I made it to mid calf and said no. They think I'm being wimpy but most of them have way more insulation than me. I just don't tolerate cold well. Perhaps on Saturday! Tomorrow is Bible study and Friday morning I get my tooth extracted. Fun, fun!

DH is golfing so I intend to work on my Bible study and perhaps make the photo cards I didn't work on yesterday! Might have to do Bible studying in the sun or at least on the patio. I did take the dogs for their little jaunt around the neighborhood.

120.6 - still a downward trend.

It was finally warm enough to sit outside without a jacket yesterday! We went to Key West in the early afternoon and had some amazing tapas! The waitress told us most people get 3 plates per person ultimately but start with 2 per person. The four of us got 4 plates to start and added 2 afterwards. So 1.5 plates per person which seemed to be plenty (though I just asked DH and he said he would have liked another plate). Pictures on FB - the flaming one was Saganaki. All were incredibly yummy.

When we got back to the house, Justice and I sat outside for an hour or so in the sun. Finally! The dog across the canal was quite intrigued with Justice. See pics below.

No plan yet today other than a Justice walk. We have a new route which keeps us off of US 1 most of the time. The prior 2 days we walked on the bike/walking path next to the highway. It is supposed to be even warmer than yesterday with sun. Maybe just stay outside a lot!

Have a well-fed Wednesday!

Congratulations on beating the Shark! Always a good day when that occurs.

Good idea for anyone reaching our age bracket to have a handicap accessible shower. We never know when it might be needed. I feel nervous when we have guests our age and they have to use the tub/shower in the guest bathroom.

I miss robins! Supposedly they come to Florida in the winter but I have never noticed any where we are.

Super productive cleaning day! Do you start to get OCD sometimes with the power washer (I do)? I see how good one area looks and keep on going past where I planned or going back over what I did until it looks perfect. Used to take me a day to power wash my deck but I could hire someone who would do it in 1/3 the time. Of course my job was more thorough LOL.

Thankfully at our elevation we don't get the haboobs they get down in the Phoenix valley but there's still enough dirt around here to pick up and blow around with a good wind!
