Oh my goodness! That travel schedule was insane. And the first day back activities insane as well!
The sale of the house went to another couple that were looking for a ranch in our part of town. Their kids are getting a bit older and will be leaving the nest in the next several years so they were wanting something that would work now and down the road as they age!
Surgery is next Wednesday! Excited and a little nervous!
121.9, down a smidge.
Bible study group brunch today went well. Almost everyone attending brought me a bouquet of flowers. Super sweet but our house looks like someone died! Have not seen so many flowers since Ben died! The Bible study is an out branch of our garden ministry so it makes sense that they all thought to bring something pretty from nature! Maybe I'll gather them all up and post a pic on TT! I did combine 2 of the bouquets into one of the vases!
Hello Fresh meals continue to be good. Had chicken Schwarma lettuce wraps, chicken enchiladas and braised beef stew this week. All tasty! I especially like their Schwarma!
FB marketplace selling continues. Both DH and I are posting things!
You are on a roll! Thank goodness you had a place to stay in Reno. You need to learn how to slow down!!!

Greetings all
The sun finally popped out and it is breezy. Got up kind of early by my standards. i have been eating avocado toast the past couple of days - must be the so cal influence. Whatever. Kind of done with it. So I got back to the studio and did my walk. Added a tiny incline and also did the stairs. My weak and sore legs are not going to improve unless I pu**** After that I spent some time at the studio. The glass room is under renovation and looks good. New doors on the place that open outwards to allow for more stuff inside. One door sort of crashes into my door but oh well. Got some things done.
Liz your beach day sounds fun. Kids at the ocean are always a hoot. It is so interesting how people who grow up in tough cir****tances end up being the best parents. Hoping your DD surgery goes well. Years ago my friend did that and after a couple of days she said she felt better than she had in 10 years. Fingers crossed.
DD we will think of you crossing the pond. So much to do and see. Pictures please.
Peps you really are the road warrior. That is a lot. And no road trip is complete without a detour or other snafu. Glad you are home safe.
Nice paddle photo Paula. Wishing you the best on home plans. An adventure to be sure. Ditto surgery.
So our football team plays tonight and I invited studio buddy and will make chili. Three nights dinner solved. Better get started.

Little snafu in my plans to arrive home yesterday.... Landslide on I 80 east of Truckee. The slide caused two accidents, reduced westbound traffic to a single lane, and caused an hours long back up. I chose to stay the night with friends in Reno. But now I am HOME!!!!
This was a quite a long stretch to be gone - a full 14 days traveling on the road with two dogs. I logged over 70 hours driving 4360 miles, consumed 272 gallons of gasoline, and am feeling a bit worn around the edges.
At the moment I can't remember what I was thinking to schedule all for tomorrow a DEXA scan, a hair cut, a NUT session, and my dad's monthly palliative care check up... Well, at least those things will be done and taken care of. And I don't have too much choice in the palliative care appointment scheduling.
Y'all are gonna laugh and shake your heads, but I have a grooming scheduled at 3 pm. It was originally scheduled for this morning, but I rescheduled for this afternoon when I decided to spend the night in Reno.
Paula, some time during my trip you must have made the decision to sell and move. Last I remember the people who the realtor wanted to bring by wanted to buy immediately and you and your DH weren't ready to do anything that quickly. So, I guess congratulations are in order! What is the countdown to surgery?
Diamond D, safe travels! I bet you are going to have a wonderful, wonderful trip!
I do not want to get on a scale tomorrow, but I will.
More later!
Just received shocking news that the wife of a good friend of DH died suddenly. She had recently retired from being on the Board of Selectman in their town and they had gone on a couple of great trips. I think she was younger than I am. What a shock!

Everyone is completely self sufficient but you have never seen so much junk food on the counters, in cabinets, and clogging the fridge!
Safe travels!!!
