DD! First day of the rest of your life! Congratulations!
Peps, you're not posting too much at all!! Loving seeing your pictures. According to 23and me, I'm 85% German/French/Austrian much from the Rhine-Main region.
Yesterday was filled with car servicing, a nap, and lizard rescues. I had a lizard stuck in a glue trap and couldn't bring myself to touch it to get it free (oil does it apparently). He was large and upset as you'd expect. I called one reptile rescue place and they said sure we'll help and then wouldn't respond to any of my subsequent texts asking where I could bring him. So yesterday I contacted another reptile rescue and he immediately offered to come get the lizard. We met halfway and he sent me a picture of the free little guy. I gave him $40 as penance for having glue traps in the first place and for his gas and time.
The designers came and hung a bunch of pictures for me and brought a contractor who is going to work on my kitchen ceiling to put in a vent over the island for the stove. The couple who built the house didn't put a vent in the kitchen as they weren't cooks, it's not code for some reason in my county (would have been in Sedona city limits), and mostly steamed their food. Weirdos. He's going to build a 12" drop down box the size of the large island relocating lights and speakers and put a whole room kitchen ceiling vent in it. The drop is needed because the ceiling joists run the wrong way to put it parallel to the cooktop. It should preserve the view of the mountain behind me out the kitchen window:
The vent looks like this:
Hmm, what projects to work on today... I may tidy the laundry room which has become a repository for all things that didn't belong elsewhere in the house. I figure if I keep consolidating my messes into smaller and smaller areas, eventually everything will have a home.
We're going to see 100 a few times starting tomorrow. Blech. But it is the desert, and it's better than Phoenix which will be 111 several times in the coming week.
That's all for me. I have overnight oats in the fridge made with vanilla Oikos yogurt and Fairlife milk for protein, so I'll go give that a try...
Take care all!
Lucky you have someone like that!

Liz, we are on Viking's Grand European Tour, Budapest to Amsterdam. It's a 15 day cruise. Really only 15, but they like to count the morning on the boat before you leave as a day.
I have a wonderful younger couple that stays with the dogs. They have one of my Airedale pups and also a Scottish Terrier. They stay at the house the entire time we are away. They are familiar with home kennel situations and do a great job!
We gave up our low 2-door BMW sedan and replaced it with a BMW SUV last year. So much easier to get in and out of for ourselves and our friends.
Lucky you to be in a weight maintaining groove! I'm afraid to try going without the tirzepatide even though I am taking an extremely low dose. I suppose eventually I shound try it though.

119.2 - Unchanged since yesterday which is good because I ate fairly well last night.
Love the German date!!! Is your trip the Rhine Getaway? Very intrigued.
Two more days here - the time has gone by fast! Yesterday was a very strange day. First time in 15 years that it rained for the entire day. It was POURING at times. We were able to walk over to the resort two down where we had a dinner reservation and luckily were seated under a patio roof because it started up again during our meal. We stayed at the bar for an extra couple of after dinner drinks to wait for it to subside to sprinkles so we could walk back. At one point I had to use the ladies room and the hostess went with me with a big towel held over our heads to get to it through the rain LOL.
My DD and SIL are in the air on their way here. We pick them up at about noon. We have to finish packing up our stuff here in the room so they can move in for the week. We are renting a different room for our last 2 nights. We already have plans for lunch and dinner. Lunch at the restaurant run by the person who used to run the restaurant at the resort here until a couple of years ago and dinner at the restaurant ru by the person who ran the resort restaurant just prior to that. They have done well and have good food. The one here is not so great. A Netherlands company has bought up a large portion of the resort restaurants and bars over the last few years and the quality of the food and service is mediocre at all of them. So we go off campus.
Have I mentioned that we started watching Dept Q based on the recommendations here? Really enjoying it!
Have a sandwich Saturday!

I found the lack of connection after I left to be both disconcerting and freeing. And weird.
There is an oral one now: Rybelsus (semaglutide). Doesn't work great (I tried it). Some of the compounders were compounding both semaglutide annd tirzepatide and people didn't seem to think they worked very well, but maybe there will be one developed that does.
You can get Zepbound from Lilly Direct in vials (no pen) for self-pay:
