In Worcester this morning, then Saratoga Springs tomorrow morning. I think I brought one day's fewer tops than I should have. Whoops! I guess either yesterday's sweater or today's will have to be reused on Thursday. I did pack enough undies thank goodness.
Yesterday was a really quick turnaround on the Cape. Though Justice was glad to see me when I walked in, he ended up sitting in DSD's lap while I was getting ready to leave again. We were there for 2 hours, then left for lunch with my 2 SILs. Funny seeing Justice with Brandy the bernadoodle. One would bark, then the other join in. Then they would run together to the couch, both stand on it looking out the window with their heads swiveling in unison back and forth. I wish I had taken a video!
During the day, I returned the three calls from the same old friend during a spare 1/2 hour. He was originally a friend from high school of deceased DH. Very sweet guy but his life has not gone well over the years. He has terrible health, at least partially due to excess weight. He had both knees replaced, but one went septic so he can barely walk. He has to use a walker and a scooter in the food store which is the only place he goes to other than the doctors. Top the poor health off with a life of depression and a lot of loneliness (he says everyone has either moved away or died) and it makes for a difficult conversation. I feel guilty not calling more often, but it is always a very difficult, very long conversation punctuated with bouts of his crying. So hard and I feel so bad about his life and my inability to be more supportive than a call now and then.
We may go to breakfast at a local diner, then will pick up DD around 11 for our drive to New York. We stop along the way in the town DH lived in for about 20 years at a deli to get lunch and sandwiches for the track tomorrow. Dinner at a bistro in downtown Saratoga Springs. An established routine from the last few years which it is fun to share with DD. This will be my fifth year going there.
Have a tantalizing Tuesday!

The Hilton at Logan in Boston? I flew into Providence so stayed at the Fairfield Inn. Very close and comfortable, but pretty basic.

You are definitely leading up to busy days. Good that you aren't too far from the airport with the snafu with your Aussie sister. In her defense, I have done the same thing when sending txts a few times either by putting it in a mode where it can't send too quickly or forgetting to press the send button.
I need to establish a doctor in Florida. I should try to get that done soon.

You and DH have been very efficient with the house clearing! How do the kids feel about you guys moving?
I am like you and would prefer warmth. It felt like fall here yesterday and will continue like that for the next few days. Probably back and forth now through mid-September when I return to Florida.

Ick about the rodent!
Funny that you and CC had reversed days - you with the sun and CC with the rain. But corn sure does sound good. We only had it once this summer when it was early in the season and it wasn't very good. Will have to go to the farm stand this weekend. also for tomatoes.

I will have to look for Professor T. Sounds interesting. I look forward to a day/night with nothing planned. Maybe Friday.

Liz, did you stay at the Hilton at the airport. We stayed there and thought it was really slick, how easy it is to walk from the airport. Although there was an actual fire in the kitchen (this has happened to us twice at hotels!), so we had to wait for breakfast!

So much for the 78 forecast. We saw 61! Not often they are 17 degrees off.
It rained here all Sunday, but definitely not cool. Warm and humid, so we still had to run the air conditioner.
Silly rodent, coming into your yard with the dogs. There can be no good outcome for the rodent.
