118 (Justice is 11) - so neither of us gained weight over the last 3 weeks. Very, very happy with that! I think I may have lost a bit in the beginning in Spain when SIL really couldn't go out so I was walking a lot but not eating much for lunch. I made up for that on other days such as around the wedding and in London.

Yesterday was a run-around and do errands day. Today will include a bit of that but different kinds. I'm up early (still somewhat on Europe time), so hopefully have time to get a good walk with Justice before I have to go to an appointment for a thyroid ultrasound. About 18 months ago when I had an MRI for my shoulder they found some nodules on my thyroid. I've had an ultrasound and a biopsy. The biopsy was negative for one module but didn't have enough material for the second one to be sure. So I am having one final ultrasound to put it to bed. My thyroid hormones are normal and I have no other issues so I doubt there is anything wrong but my doctor convinced me to do this last one.

DS arrives around noon and DD and DSIL around 6:30 or so. We have a dinner reservation at 7:30. It will be nice to have most of my family in the house. Justice will be thrilled.

Have a fulfillingly fantastic Friday!

That does sound scary! We are looking forward to having the yard fenced in and in the meantime put Justice back on a long lead in the backyard while we were out there last night.

It sounds to me like you are getting plenty done. You just aren't used to the relaxation parts. Enjoy them!

Will have to check out those shows. They sound like there are no aliens or zombies in them.

Liz, beware the coyotes. The coyotes here have developed a ploy to lure neighborhood dogs into an ambush to become Coyote Cuisine. The pack will send a youngster, not a pup, but adolescent to play with domestic dogs and get them to follow them into the open space where the rest of the pack is waiting to dispatch the the dog.

Years ago my Cairn pursued a coyote. I swear if I had not been following her and screaming like a mad man that coyote would have turned around and gobbled her up. She was only about 7 months old and that coyote kept turning around looking at her, as if he was contemplating the risk. My Airedale at the time was amused by the whole thing, but did not offer to assist me in discouraging the coyote.

Well, I forgot to press submit on this post this morning, so it is hours old....LOL

It's a lovely, quiet morning here, too! Sun is shining, the air is cool as we are having below normal temps. It only got up to 79 here yesterday. For me this is PERFECT weather - warm enough for shorts, a tank/tee, and flip flops, but not at all hot.

200.4 this morning. Shot day today... Did not get to the gym yesterday. Something had to give, and I chose that. That just means I will go tomorrow, which is fine.

I have a show dog client today. I worked on him last week, so today it should not be physically draining, but still time consuming. It will be more finishing work, which, while time consuming, is fun. It's sculpting with hair.

Still not managing to get all my "chores" done, but I realize I am CHOOSING to spend a lot of time relaxing... I spend time on and off throughout the day sitting down to read on line, check email, play word games, etc... I'm sure if I cut back on screen time, I'd get more done. Food for thought. But then again, I am adjusting to my new normal. wink, wink... Here's what I did yesterday:

Got up, coffeed, morning computer time, fed dogs,... Puppy client at 10; Vet appointment for Lulu at 12:15; ate lunch; 3 pm: Visit with dad followed by Costco and Trader Joes; 6 pm: Trimmed Blitz until about 8. Then fed dogs, cooked dinner and watched TV. Went to bed around 12:50am. Got up 7:30ish.

*******

6:30 pm now... Show dog client took arrived at 11 and about 3 1/2 hours. We had lunch afterwards, which was pleasant. I got to the gym around 4:10, got an ab, arm, and chest workout done by about 5:20, ran to the post office and here I am. Have to work on Buster for a bit and then get dinner on the table. Until tomorrow, my friends.

Greetings all

It's a mixed day here but plenty warm for me. Due to guest and gallery chores I have gotten behind in studio stuff so I did some catching up with that today. There is always something to attend to business wise. Today it is a new debit card for the studio bank account due to some attempted fraud. Ergo; hand the task off to Diane. So be it.

Also stopped for dog food at the pet store as our dogs eat this boutique dog food. And there was a quick trip to the grocery for a couple of items at which time a bottle of A and W root beer forced its way into my cart. it is a summer treat.

So Liz, Justice has a neighbor dog friend. Good deal. Maybe you have a new friend too! Beware of those coyotes. They are known to kill small dogs and cats. When my brother lived in Oceanside there was a coyote den found that had a number of little collars in it. And yep, you are refining the house there and it sounds lovely. Hydrangeas rule.

Glad you had a nice visit DD with Aussie sister. Fun. But agreed, there is nothing quite like having the house to yourself if only because you can walk around in underwear. Theoretically anyway. Lucky you had a slow cooker dinner to offer.

CC nice that you got a new couch. Comfort rules.

Paula I bet you do a great job leading bible study. There will likely always be a position for you doing that no matter where you go. Pizza and ice cream!! Sounds good.

Shrimp last night and more tonight.

So we have been watching this series Ginny and Georgette. It is mainly about being a teenage girl of mixed race and her single mother who was only 15 when the girl was born. So it is teenage stuff plus a slowly revealed back story. Good show. We also like the Buccaneers which is a show about young wealthy women from New York who go to England to seek husbands with titles. Set at the turn of the century so it has all the fancy clothes and such.

Sounds like you do need some more calories. Enjoy that pizza and ice cream!

Most of what DH has done to the house has been his idea, but I add tweaks. Like painting the doors after the new siding went on, adding a whale number plate and a board with whales above the garage with the same color as the doors, adding a whale doorknocker, replacing the old pinkish adirondack chairs on the porch with blue ones in keeping with the door colors, planting flowers and trailing greens in a large planter at the front door. But he does the lawn which is quite lush in the front and mulches all the hydrangea beds (the house is surrounded by hydrangea bushes and grasses).
