I was not in bed until 1:43 am! VERY late for even me, who is a night owl.

I am almost always up by 6 am, but I also go to bed at 10 pm most of the time ;)

201.2 - more up down up down...

Quick check in as I have a client coming in 15 minutes.

Short night- YUCK! I went to bed far too late, but the dogs decided they needed to soar with the eagles just before dawn when my brother stirred. Molly was the most vocal of the bunch. UGH... So up before 7 to let dogs out. BOOOOO...

It is a gloomy, sprinkly day. But it's a Pineapple Express so it's nice and balmy. I turned the heat off last night and the house stayed at 65 degrees all night!

Three and a half shopping days, people!

Still no weight. Lots of junk eaten yesterday but so much less than I used to. DH overdid and had a stomachache last night.

It is the winter solstice and the darkest day of the year! There is an hour and a quarter less light here than in Florida today. Thank goodness the days get longer after this (with a big bump when we return to Florida on the 29th).

Nice day yesterday celebrating Christmas with DH's family. We also snuck in a side trip to my SIL and BIL who live 2 miles away. At DSD's many games were played, lots of appetizers were eaten, then we had a BBQ meal with pulled pork etc. I skipped dessert other than one bite of the homemade carrot cake. Thank you VSG and GLP-1. Justice was a bit overwhelmed by the puppy, Josie. She figured out that she could dominate him and did. We had to put his peanut butter bone in a ziploc bag to keep the dogs from growling over it. I think he will be happy to go back to the Cape today and have quiet time.

Another busy day as we go back to DSD's home for breakfast, leaving for the Cape at around 11 am. We will go to our desolate part of the Cape to drop off Justice and take our showers, then backtrack by an hour drive to go to my other SIL's home for a Christmas get together in late afternoon. Really nice of her to host this gathering of our joint Cape Cod friends! Luckily tomorrow is a down day for me while DH meets up with his childhood friends for lunch. Justice and I will cozy up and do some laundry (maybe play Christmas carols).

Have a Silver Bell Sunday!

Oh the festive stuff! LOL! I haven't seen any carolers but I also haven't been physically to any stores. I actually would enjoy hearing that. One downside of traveling here for 13 days is that it doesn't feel easy to fit entertainment other than family get togethers in at holiday time. The Florida events are mostly after we leave and there aren't any nearby where our Cape house is (it is pretty desolate there this time of year). Traveling a distance on a down day here seems like too much effort.

Smart planning getting the wrapping stuff ahead of time! I need to plan that for next year though I was lucky that DH's ex-wife left a lot of wrapping stuff in the basement from when she was living there that I was able to use.

I hardly ever use a purse anymore as they also slide off my shoulders. So annoying. I keep my important cards and a small amount of cash in a compartment on my phone case and tuck it in my pocket.

No surprise your NUT therapist is so proud of you.

Have you considered volunteering to do some Christmas projects with children somewhere? Maybe next year? It might have to be with younger (preschool) kids, but I would bet there are plenty of home-schooled families who would take advantage of something like that.

I think they have made up new terms for weather events that have always occurred. Or maybe they just use technical terms now. Either way, they always make it sound like some sort of disaster even though we have seen them all before. Bomb cyclone and thunder snowstorm are other similar disastrous terms.

80 degrees! I am jealous!

We are lucky that there is no conflict on Christmas between the 2 families. Christmas with DH's side is always the Saturday before Christmas while my side is celebrated on Christmas Day. We dropped Christmas Eve at my DS's birthmother's home because of distance but I will stop by and see her when in the area. The upside of this spacing is no conflict but the downside is over a week spent in the cold weather.

We did not pay in advance for the hotel so fully expect to only pay for one night here.
