I saw some stuff on FB about an online source called JoinPiper which is supposed to be cheaper than Orderley ($199 per month). Haven't fully researched it though.

I had to laugh thinking about a fun group of women with THREE glasses of wine on board. Yes, no pain felt. Glad you got to top it off with some food. : )
I think the emergency contact info exchange would be good, even if your friends weren't struggling with some cognitive issues. If one of them suddenly needed to be taken to the hospital and you knew about it due to physical proximity, their family could be notified quickly. It would be a very kind thing for you to take on that role.
Every day it's colder. The temp might drop into the teens early morning on Sunday. Run Paula! Thankfully, there are 50s predicted later in the week, which, though welcomed, are sadly above normal temps. We can't hold off the steady cold forever, but maybe for another week or two.
In addition to congestive heart failure, my Mom has kidney disease. They have had to slow down the medications to help her release fluid due to strain on her low functioning kidneys. The prognosis now is that she stay in the hospitsl until some time next week. While her mood has been better the last two visits, her energy is not. One doctor again really pushed Hospice, but my Mom says she is not ready. My brother thinks there is not a lot of time left for her, which may be true. But I've also learned that her body stubbornly hangs on through crises I was sure would take her. I'm just gald she is currently safe and well cared for.
The articles about GLP-1 s and price cutting got DH and I thinking. None of these changes look to be happening right away, and DD is still paying $400 a month for tirzepatide for the foreseeable future. We made her an offer: If she can find a reputable source that will charge $200 a month if bought in bulk, we will buy it, and it will be her birthday and Christmas and Easter presents. So she is looking.
I had another good workout yesterday and was able to up the weights on most machines. My progress on pectorals and quadriceps group is really slow though. I'll keep trying!
Right now I'm off to do a little shopping. Talbots sent a $25 off coupon, even on clearance items. It expires Monday. Can't just let that happen!!
116.4 - down 2 pounds in 2 days though I haven't changed anything in my diet. Weird that it fluctuates so much but it has stayed in this range for quite a while now.
That article says "The government will expand coverage for GLP-1s under the deal to overweight patients with prediabetes or heart problems, obese patients with comorbidities and severely obese patients, accounting for 10% of Medicare patients." That's good news but I think that change was at least partially proposed by Biden. If it is the same rule, it would not include those of us using it for maintenance unless we still are prediabetic or have a somewhat serious heart problem (high blood pressure doesn't count). So it would not include me unless doctors are willing to write the prescription anyway (I was prediabetic when I started taking it though). Sigh. Like Paula I stocked up from HenryMeds before they stopped providing Tirzepatide and still have a decent quantity left.
Nine and Wine was so much fun! We played okay or at least thought we did LOL. We had a glass of Rose at hole 3, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio at hole 6, and a glass of Pinot Noir or Cabernet Sauvignon at hole 9. The wines were good ones and they weren't just tastes, they were full glasses so we weren't feeling much pain by the time we finished up. The appetizers at the clubhouse were robust enough to make a meal of it. It cost us each $23 but that was incredibly cheap really.
Today is yoga, then I see an Orthopedist who specializes in osteoporosis. I hope this won't be a let's do bloodwork, then I come back to discuss treatment type of visit. That seems to happen a lot and I think that is one of the reasons healthcare costs so much. Charging for 2 visits when 1 with a follow-up call/note would suffice.
I have to ponder how to get contact information for my neighbors' family. We will probably go out to dinner with them in the next week which would be a good time to suggest we exchange emergency contacts maybe?
Have a fine Friday!

One night it got cooler than usual in Aruba and an iguana fell out of a tree onto our friend's daughter. She freaked out!
Yes, it is hard at first to leave everyone but you will make new friends and the kids will be visiting frequently I predict.

I got DH a Fitbit last Christmas to monitor his heart rate. A lot cheaper than an Apple Watch if you aren't going to use more features. But my guess is that your DH will want you to have the Apple one and will show you everything it can do LOL.
DH has had a couple of episodes of tachycardia in the last 2 years and almost passed out during the last one. His doctor put him on a beta-blocker for it after the last one but DH stopped taking it after several months because it made him feel sluggish and gave him a headache. DH hates taking any medication so he hasn't contacted his cardiologist to tell him that he stopped taking it.

The sun is so strong there! Good news that you will get some relief on the replacement. Good company!
Nice that Kirby will get attention from your workman. Justice acts like he has to protect the house and all of us whenever a stranger comes to the door. We stick him in his crate in another room.

I never heard of an exertion headache either but maybe that's because I don't exert myself enough LOL. Makes sense that working really hard might cause it though.
Your Dad clearly still has some remnants of older memory left - good sign.

121.2. Happy with that number!
This is a week of lasts. Last Bible study with my woman?s group today followed by lunch with them, last dinner out with our best friends tonight ****il they come see us!), last dinner with DS3 tomorrow night until we come home around Christmas. Soon will be last dinner with DC1. We won?t even get to see DS2 before leaving. As excited as I am to be moving to the sunshine state, my heart aches for the people we are leaving behind!
Temps are a dropping though, so warmer climes sure sound good. I did see the paralyzed iguana warnings for FL though. When the temps drop too low the iguanas fall out of trees and appear dead until they warm up again. They do so much destruction that I think it would be a good time to just off them! When we stayed in Cape Coral a few winters ago a neighbor was shooting them!
Maybe you should put one of those signs, instead of x number of days without an accident could be x number of days without an artist present ... does anyone ever use it?
Greetings all
Rain today but not too heavy. I went to the studio today but later than expected. Had a spell of tachycardia and took a couple of hours to slow it down. Years ago this cardiologist told me to maybe go to a cath lab to get this fixed electrically but I poo pooed that. If I get more episodes I will reconsider. Two in a week is an increase. Maybe I should get an apple watch that will monitor me.
DD don't you just want to scream about your parents money attitude??!! My mother did that too as did Crazy Pat who once insisted I make waldorf salad out of half rotten apples because "we're not made of money you know". What do they think they are saving for? I had to do a lengthy math analysis with my mother to convince her she could afford to go to the retirement community and when I made her add the total she said "Let's go to the casino"! Good that you and bro can laugh about it.
Thanks for the article on drugs CC. Good news for us geezers who are on medicare. I am running out of excuses. Tee hee like DD's parents money is not an excuse. And yeah CC that deck is indeed faded. Guess any dark color in Arizona will fade. Perhaps the Trex people will elaborate a bit on the warranty choice options - like with numbers. Glad the vent contractor is good. Much needed item.
So I did not do the gym today but did go to the studio. Busy place with remodeling going on. Shelves are being moved and areas opened up. The glass studio was, of course, unoccupied.
Liz kind of you to help the neighbors. Sounds like someone needs to keep an eye on them. Yeah call the relative. Travel sounds not so good for them. Wine and nine does sound fun - like DD I would skip the nine and go straight to wine.
Peps I did not know there was such thing as an exertion headache. Sorry you experienced it. 35 push ups sounds like plenty. And good that your dad could read the watch. Reminds me of my older brother who could tell time on an analog clock when he was 3 years old. good luck at the shows.
Yum yum sandwiches tonight for a cold drizzly evening,
Diane S
