117.6 - same weight as 2 days ago.
DD did well yesterday. The surgery went smoothly and exactly on schedule. Recovery was a bit longer than expected though and they almost admitted her. She was very, very sleepy and dizzy for a long time, then couldn't use the bathroom. If she had ended up with a catheter they would have kept her overnight. But just before 6 which was the deadline for deciding if she was staying she had bathroom success and they discharged her. She is MUCH happier being home than she would have been in the hospital.
Lots of waiting around and no eating - I binge-watched 6 episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty. Entertaining, though I'm not sure DH would like it.
I got home at 5:30 with really no Labor Day traffic issues. That was amazing. We went out to dinner with the family and friends (10 of us - the group staying in the house here). In bed at 9, but up this morning not long after 5 when one of the other dogs burst into our room and she and Justice ran around.
Today is likely National Seashore beach time. Cooking at the house here tonight I think (probably burgers and dogs cooked by the kids).
Have a super Saturday!

You are rocking that treadmill walking! I used to do work on the treadmill and ellipticals at a gym, but I just get too bored. At that point I had to do it that way to avoid ice and snow in the winter, but now that I am in a warm climate I can do my walking outside (not many inclines though in Florida or on the Cape).
Hopefully that IRS letter was sending you money!

Surgery coming Wednesday! That snuck up!
I am impressed with your FB sales - I just donated everything so I didn't have to negotiate or have people coming to my house. I am donating a sleep sofa in Florida to Habitat because they will pick it up (I have new sofas on order).

They will all adjust and be fine with it in the end. My kids had to go through those adjustments too when I first started to go to Florida, and when I sold their childhood home, and then my Cape home.

Staying the same weight when traveling around and not really keeping track is a huge win IMO!
I tried CBD gummies for sleep after DH died. Much better than prescription sleeping pills as they just relaxed me enough to drift off vs knocking me out.

Greetings all
Sunny again today. Super nice. I waited around quite a bit for payroll to be ready and decided I might as well wait by walking on the treadmill. So I went to the gym and did so. Small incline. Feeling smug. So I picked up payroll and got that done and made a few things. Firing day at the studio so it is warm on the east end.
Our team won last night so that is a good thing. DH won't be cranky. Studio buddy came over and we had chili. Good time.
Liz so hoping all goes well with DD. Sending good energy So glad you can be with her and help out.
So DD is on the way to Scotland! Yay fun.
Peps so Blitz has an old fashioned date? How quaint!! Enjoy the lazy time.
Gosh Paula your surgery is coming up fast! We found a good snack on the airplane - chocolate covered quinoa. Quite good. You need some snacks.
No much else. DH tells me we have a letter from the IRS....

121.9, same as yesterday. Just got done eating a chocolate croissant and I don't feel guilty at all (well, maybe a little but it was very good). I met a friend for lunch and my favorite little coffee shop and had soup and a lavender latte and brought the croissant home to warm in the oven! Yum!
We had 4 buyers for FB marketplace stuff this morning. Sold 4 countertop height chairs, a big patio umbrella, my Art Fair tent with leg weights and an extension ladder. Slowly but surely getting rid of stuff!
Lunch out with my friend was very nice. She is a school teacher and I gave her a bunch of crafting supplies that I won't be moving to FL to use with her students. Her school is in a more disadvantaged part of town and so many of the kids have nothing. She asked for prayers for them as many have very rough lives at home (sexual and physical abuse, drug use, parent(s) in prison, etc.)
DSD will be in town starting today. She will be busy over the weekend with a friend's bridal shower and perhaps Bachelorette party too. She plans to stay through until my surgery on Wednesday then has to go home for her own medical appointment on Thursday.
Hoping to go out for a good old WI fish fry tonight! We will see since DSD won't eat seafood but she can always order a burger!
We close on our house in WI on November 14th. Still need to find a house in FL.
None of the kids are super happy about the move. DC1 seems to be taking it the hardest since they rely on us so heavily for emotional and social support.
DS's 2 and 3 just don't like the political climate of FL and would rather see us some place like the Carolinas. DSD isn't happy that we are moving since she is finally back in WI after being in ND for the last 7 years. They will be moving to NE in May anyway though so not too much to be mad about!
Liz, I hope all goes well with DD's surgery today!
203.0 this morning. 100% acceptable IMO after 2 weeks of travel. I have 4 weeks before my next road trip. I'm going to work on getting solidly below 200 over those next weeks. I confess I enjoyed many desserts this trip, so it's nice to have the scale recognize that I made adjustments for the extra dessert calories. I don't keep track of my weight these days so I went back a couple weeks to find a posted weight. Last weight I posted was 203.2, so I didn't come back any heavier than when I left. SCORE!
It feels lovely to sit with my coffee in MY chair this morning surrounded by my pack of hounds.
If I don't start sleeping better soon, I think I am going back to CBD gummies at bedtime. I'm tired of the fractured sleep.
Busy-ish day ahead with appointments. BFF wants a hair cut, too.
Paula, when is your move date? How did the boys and DC1 take the news?
Blitz has a date today. He'll be happy. LOL!
Toodles!
