Hey Jenn! So 2 whole cookies? Are you sure you're not going to he!!? LOL!!! PELLEEEZE! That's nothing! One of the hardest things for me post op has been avoiding the horrible POWER that food has over us MO's (or former MO's ;)). If you feel this bad over something as meaningless as a couple of cookies, it will be hard to tackle the obsessions. Guilt over little things shoots down our self esteem and confindence. I felt bad for you getting so upset about this! You are doing so well and this will NOT derail your success! I think the best lesson learned here is not to feel guilty about 2 cookies because POUCHY made you feel bad enough! Hang in there, girl - you are rockin'!

~~ JEN ~~ Girl, don't beat yourself up for succombing to temptation. ONLY ONE ON THIS EARTH was able to resist. Yes, it wasn't brain surgery and we are bound to " slip " for a while but, like you said, you now have your tummy to remind you that you are NOT the same person you were before. Let's face it, you probably would have not only eaten those two cookies - it would have been the bag, just like I used to. Surgery is a tool and it is meant to be our reminder that the old " us " is no longer existant. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and go on. It was only two cookies! I found that I can eat a whole refill pack of Pez in one sitting without dumping - and I mean the whole package of like 10 rolls - and I fell off the bandwagon for a while, too! I have now rededicated myself to my " regimen " and have been doing three protein shakes a day, getting in all of my water and have stopped using Pez!!! LOL It's a learning experience and you're NOT a bad person for having those two cookies! Forget about it and start anew!!! If ya ever need to vent or talk, I'm here for ya girl! Love, Hugs and Blessings! †

Jennifer - You find strength in being a supportive sister who doesn't let someone else take advantage of her. Lovingly, stand your ground. Don't be a push-over. Be strong and you'll be happier for it. Wendy (a big sister who always comes to the rescue)

Hi, Jenn: I'm still a pre-op, hoping to have surgery August 19th. I just wanted to thank you for your words of advise about not comparing yourself to others...I know that's gonna be hard for me to do. Since I'm a relative lightweight at 273#, I think I'm probably going to be a slow loser too. While losing quicker is more mentally satisfying, I think that losing slower will allow my body to bounce back better and my skin to adjust better. Oh well, I'll just have to see what happens after surgery. I don't think there's any way to predict whether one will be a slow or fast loser. By the way, I just wanted to tell you that your pics look great! Thank you for being an inspiration to us pre-ops! Good luck on the rest of your journey, and God Bless!
