Jennifer - Courage is what I see here. You actually made a decision to walk away from McDs and go do something productive. That's the kind of move that encourages the rest of us still struggling. Your plateau is a pain, but I'll bet that you'll see that stubborn scale move this week to reward you for this fine act. At least that's what I'm going to pray for on your behalf. Happy smiles... Hi Jennifer, I read your post today, and I just want to put my two cents in. lol anyhow What you was saying about fatting food being at your work place, and how hard it may be around them. My suggestion is why don't you either fix or order a platter or tray of food for yourself. or if there are more people who eat lite and healthy everyone could pitch in.

Hi Jennifer! I just had to post to tell you not to be so hard on yourself!!! A Lean Cuisine lasagna is not disaster at all. In fact, the LC's have good protein count for the most part. We had this surgery to regain some normalcy in our lives, right? So an occasional carb-heavy meal is being normal. You are doing so terrific - I can't wait to his 18's! Please know you're a strong lady and to be gentle with yourself. We're works in progress and even when done, I plan to have lasagna (portion controlled like LC) once in a while. Hugs!

Jennifer, Please just hang on in there, use your pouch as a tool to lose weight. Go for a walk to help with your stress levels... It will help. Not only will you feel good about yourself for taking control but you will be doing something good for your body!!!! Karen :D

JENNIFER~~ I posted a message a few days ago about how my surgeon's office talked about "focusing too much on the numbers". They recommended that rather than setting a weight goal, to focus on things that you HAVE CONTROL OVER... Set a goal about your exercise (I'm going to walk 30 minutes- 4 times next week)... Set a goal about your water and protein... He said if you follow those goals the weight will come off... sometimes you don't really have control over the amount of weight you loose (water retention, "that time of the month", plateaus, etc) You DO, however, have direct control of how many times you exercise.... But, it's very difficult NOT to focus on the numbers, cause it's the easiest to do (saying, I'm down 92 pounds is an easy and socially acceptable way to measure "diet" success). The other thing I'm concentrating on is all the OTHER successes.. (free of back pain, being able to cross my legs, flying without a seat belt extension, etc) YOU ARE DOING AN AMAZING JOB! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. You are an inspiration to us all.

Jen, I am so happy to hear about your weight loss. Too bad you never got to wear your dress. But I am sure you are over it by now. I too saw Les Miserable, was't it awesome?

Jennifer, Pls do not fret over not loosing as fast as you would like and those darn plateaus.. keep in mind, when not loosing pounds your gonna be dropping those inches which sometimes can be better than lost pounds.. Hi Jennifer, My name is Charlene and I also live in Melbourne. I am in the waiting to submit information to insurance phase. I just wanted to say that you are a true inspiration to me. Please do not compare your weight loss to others. Everyone is an individual. The important thing is that you are following your post op instructions and that you are healthy. Let's keep in touch.
