You say why have surgery instead of dieting? To me they go hand in hand. Surgery is a TOOL and you still have to diet with it. Getting the surgery will not take and keep your weight off. you have to do it by eating right, exercising.and following the rules. Other words work at it. even after you loss and come to your goals. if you stop following the rules then yes, you will gain your weight back. as it is in any person who diets weather they had wls or not. I also think it's easy to say diet, just stop eating. people who says this has never been 100-150 or 200 lbs over their wt,Yeah maybe 20, 30, 40, 50 lbs, I wouldn't have it either if that was the case. then theres people that is so big they are afraid and won't change and don't want no one else to either. Then there's health problems, I was on 13 pills one needle. I don't take my insulin shot any more nor do I take all those pills anymore. Im down to 2 and the doc said he will soon be taking me off them. so it's alot of reasons why wls will help the heavy weights like me. Im very happy with my wls and no Im not sickly, I have no complications, people always hang onto the negitive and don't mention the positive side. I feel great. I have loss 110lbs in 6 months. I eat most things and don't get sick off my foods. yes in the beginning you do get sick, but that's because you have just had major surgery and is still swollen and raw inside. with time you will be back to yourself. Please do your research and stand up for what you want to do. I remember one of my doctor(a practioner)sp she didn't believe in wls. she tryed her best to scare me and everytime I had a come back, she soon stormed out and got another doctor. He was open minded and gave me my referral. all he did was asked me 2 questions and that was it. Anyhow you be prepared to know what you want and hold to it. hang in there hon~*~Hugs~*~
